When she (Sarah Jessica Parker) sneeks out to go to a dance competition in Acapulco with Elvis Presley she winds up in accidentally smuggling Maijuana for a group of demons intent on bringing about the end of the world. Her father must hire Eddy Murphy to find her and bring her back, but his efforts are hampered by the possessed doll that the demons send to stop him. Eventually Woody Allan’s alter ego Humphry Bogart convinces him to rescue his daughter himself.
I second. Some of these have been brilliant, but the thread’s so long no one’s going back to read it, and we’re getting the same ideas over and over and over again.
A friend (named Tom) who’s not a regular on the SDMB suggested the following:

Oops, sorry. I was only on page 4, but wanted to submit my friend’s suggestions (and I only posted half of his), since it sounded like he’d read the entire thread (and thus wouldn’t repeat).
Do others want to close the thread? Should I not post the others by my friend?
<sniff sniff> But it’s so fun! <toddler voice>Don’ wanna close da thread!</toddler>
OK, then. (BTW, I have to admit that I don’t get a few of these because I haven’t seen the movies. I’m trusting my friend on them.)

And one last batch after these (I didn’t want to make one post too big)…

“God didn’t create Piccard…I made him!”
Weeellll . . . I was talking to a Very Successful Illustrator friend of mine, and we are going to work up a cartoon book proposal of 50 or so titles (for legal reasons, frustratingly, I will only be able to use mine and no other Dopers’–I don’t need any lawsuits! Sad, as some of yours were so much funnier than mine).
It might make a cute little book, and my V.S.I. friend has published before and knows the right people to approach with it.
Here are a few of my own. I don’t know why this thread is so irrestistible (besides the fact that so many people have made so many great suggestions!)…
Cannonball Chicken Run - Burt Reynolds, Dom DeLuise, Jackie Chan and Sammy Davis Jr. enter a competition to escape from a chicken farm.
Forbidden Planet of the Apes - Astronauts sent to check on a missing colony discover a planet where intelligent apes rule. But it turns out the apes are only in the astronauts’ heads.
I know someone else did a version of the following combo, but mine is different. So nyah. When Harry Met the Hendersons - Billy Crystal falls in love with a yeti.
I like it! And I give you my permission to use my lone contribution (and any others that I might think up and post later), without attribution, if you like it. I don’t know if you also need the Reader’s permission, though.
If we sell the book (and that’s a big “if”) I might note any irresistible entries and contact both the author and the Reader for written legal permission (of course, they would be attributed!).
Actually it would be a really cool “proceeds to charity” project (especially for an Actor’s Home, Actors Fight AIDS, or some other show biz relevant charity).
Nineteen Eighty-Four Rooms
Winston is the night desk clerk in a dystopian hotel. Find out how Big Brother deals with misbehaving kids and a dead hooker, a loopy witch’s coven, and Quentin Tarantino.
Blue Velvet Crush

Waiting for Godot to Exhale

The Big Blue Lebowski
The Dude breaks the world free-diving record, using his bowling ball as a diving weight, in an attempt to recover his rug.
Sure, it’s been done before, there’s a website, and IIRC there’s even been an SDMB thread about it before. But none of those previous attempts came up with anything as brilliant as Analyze Them! or I am Curious (Old Yeller).
I’m disappointed y’all are turning out the lights on this thread after it made Threadspotting and everything. I wanted to add:
big Lebowski
A young boy makes a wish at a magic fortune-telling machine and wakes up as an aging stoner in the middle of a kidnapping plot.
The Fighting Temptations of Christ
While being crucified, Jesus is plagued with doubts, but eventually realizes that he is, in fact, destined to form a gospel band.

The Fly Who Loved Me

Hey, I just noticed, it did make Threadspotting! Wow, that’s the first time I’ve been in a Threadspotting-thread. Nifty.
I am also disappointed at the vote to shut down, since I was away from my 'puter all weekend.
So in the spirit of protest, a few more (animated) additions.
The Land Before Timecop - A rogue time traveller from the future alters the past so that dinosaurs develop speech and highly marketable features. Jean-Claude Van Damme must travel back to undo this horrifying changes to the timeline.
Sleeping American Beauty - A middle-aged Prince Charming finds himself attracted to a much younger enchanted princess.
