I have a N64, SNES, Genny, PS1 (part of the psx2), PS2 & Dreamcast, nes, gboy (these you can just play on the computer with an emulator)etc
Right now Im playing the Shenmue on the Dreamcast. It’s the best so far. The Dreamcast is cheap & its the only one of them that can play umm backups without any modification or other machine whatsoever, also comes with a 56k modem & you can use it with NetZero to get on the web FREE! (It sucks using the joypad as a keyboard but you can get a keyboard).
I got my DC from games2you.com They have them for $99 used.
The memory card of the DC can download from the web little gameboy like games free & play it on them. Cute. You can also play major games online with the DC.
I like all the machines for their own specific reasons. But the DC has the best value at the moment. Haven’t opened the pSX2 yet.
BTW, I played FF8 PSX on my PC computer with just the free demo of Bleem from Bleem.com & it works perfectly fine.
We got N64, and about 6 games: 2 Zeldas, Spiderman, Mariocarts, Star Wars Pod Racers, and some other spacecraft/race game named Turboblast or something. 4 controllers, and expansion pack. We need a controller pack to save some of the games, but area retailers are all out.
Man, I could play Mariocarts all day and all night! I think I have a blister on my thumb! The kids just couldn’t believe it when they opened it. As late as X-mas eve, my son was trying to brainstorm how we could possibly convince his mother to let one of them in the house. Glad we got that on film.
