Please Do Not Feed The Trolls!

kerux - I’m sure I can find a Dr Pepper or an A&W in my cooler, down here between the bottles of Corona and Negra…David B was supposed to bring the chips, but he gets confused - brought poker chips, poor guy. Poorer after we played a few hands!

Or if you were a member of the First Church of David…

I work in mysterious ways.

Glad to have you, Lauralee…oh, and I can vouch for the fencepost thing!

Kerux: “feeding the trolls”…TOO funny!

A Dr. Pepper would be great, thanks.

And a nice friendly game of poker would be fun, too. I hope you won’t mind if I don’t gamble, but if we can just play for, say, some of Melin’s cookies? That is, if Melin would be willing?

I brought some Caramel Apple suckers with me, if anyone wants some…

First Church of David? Just so long as it doesn’t turn the same thing as last time a David (Koresh) started a church that followed him… j/k Your an pretty good kid I think David B. heh heh heh

I seem to be having trouble putting together a coherent thought, so I think I’ll just stop now.

Then can I have your password?

AAAUUUGGGHHH!!! TubaDiva! I was just kidding! It was a joke! Ha! Ha! Put down those bolt cutters!!!

Melin’s willing, but in the, er, spirit of the thing, perhaps I should be making divinity instead?

-Melin

kerux, would playing poker for Melin’s cookies be acceptable to your religious views but not playing for money?

Ohhhhh David!! You hurt me!!! I’ve never considered you a fence post honey!! Always thought you had the IQ of at least a brick wall…

Yes. Playing for cookies is just in the spirit of fun. However, playing for money is what is bad. I have seen families destroyed by that type of gambling. But I have yet seen a family destroyed because someone gambled away all the chocolate chip cookies. But that’s just me, most would say that I’m wrong I suppose…

Thanks for helpin Melin, I’m not quite catchin the divinity joke, but that’s ok… he he he

I feel so much more at home and better now. Thank you everyone.

I agree that playing for cookies is fun. However, I disagree that money = evil. Cookies and money can be converted into one another (unless the cookies are really bad). Wasting more than your “entertainment budget” on anything (e.g. ball games, fishing boats, cars, porno, drinking, gambling, etc.) can be detrimental to your family. And that “budget” includes your time, which is a very precious commodity.

kerux: “Will gamble for food.”

And ‘divinity’ is a type of fudge, IIRC. (I’m sure Melin will correct me if I’m wrong.)

It’s a kind of candy, and very hard to make in my experience. Lots of sugar in it though. Sure to rot all your teeth.

I suck at poker…brought a couple boxes of cookies, hey, I even baked a batch…anyone hungry??? hehehee

Kerux wonders:

The alternative to divinity would be angel’s food cake, I think!

Experience is what you get when you didn’t get what you wanted.

 You all crack me up…
thanks for wording my thoughts better than I did hardcore…i’ve been kind of muddled as of late…

i think that i’ve heard of divinity now that you mention it… but i hear that trolls are allergic to “sugar-coated divinity”…oooooooo BAD joke…he he he

love ya all,

But it’s so much more fun to pick on each other…

Picking on each other in fun is what it’s all about! I for one did not agree the way Left Behind handled things.

Neither did several others of us. Hey Thrifty, do I know you? Your email address sounds familiar, but I’m not placing it…
