To be fair, she filed for divorce in April, and I presume they are separated. Her husband is an alcoholic with anger problems and once pled guilty to indecent exposure. When he was served the divorce papers, he was extremely irate and started verbally abusing the process server, and accused him of trespassing. So I think it’s fair to call this an acrimonious divorce.
The divorce should be finalized next month.
Of all the things to criticize her for (and there are scads of them), dating someone while she’s not with her husband anymore wouldn’t even make my list.
He also speeds through residential streets while drunk, runs over neighbours’ mailboxes, and threatens neighbours. Seems like a perfect match for Boebert. I presume she divorced him because he’s too much of a gentleman for her taste, and would prefer somebody drunker and more aggressively obnoxious.
Yeah, that indecent exposure charge (which he pled guilty to, and it was in front of girls at a bowling alley) was in 2004. (After they started dating but a year before their first child.) They were married 2 years later. She knew what she was getting into.
Sadly, there’s not much satisfaction to be had from seeing her and her boyfriend kicked out of the theater. People like Boebert and her outstanding ex are very well acclimatized to being on the wrong side of society and the wrong side of the law and probably take actual pride in it. She probably just regrets that she didn’t get to have a mug shot she could flaunt to the rubes, like her orange hero. IOW, a highly desirable politician in today’s Republican Party.
Well, you can see why he’d be upset. It hurts to support someone during their early days of teen pregnancy, disorderly conduct, and poisoning people only to be cast aside later when they make it big in politics.
They have video of her vaping in her seat and generally annoying people. One report says a pregnant woman asked her to stop vaping and she responded rudely.
I know. The only behavior she has denied having done is the vaping. She acknowledged and is quite unapologetic about everything else she was reported to have done.
And she became a grandmother a few months ago at the age of 36. All I’m going to say is that none of this was the baby’s fault, and I wish them the best.
Boebert actually issued an apology this evening for her behavior at the musical. Sure, it was only after she had been caught dead-to-rights on video but I’m very surprised she would apologize in any circumstance.
Let’s see: Mr. Boebert exposed himself to children in a bowling alley. Knocked up his (ex-)wife when she was 17. He was 23 at the time. Along with his drunk driving and other wonderful attributes, he’s beaten his son (Lauren helped that go away, while she was literally living elsewhere because he’s abusive).
Said son has not fallen far from the tree. At 17, he’s a daddy. Mommy was 15 when she got pregnant. Something something predators, something something groomers. Something something LOOK OVER THERE IT’S A DRAG QUEEN!
And then there’s the glory of M(r)s. Boebert herself. The only thing she’s done for her constituents is make them the laughingstock of Colorado. Hell, Doug Lamborn must thank his lucky stars every day that she’s around, or he’d be the one called on the carpet for lazy Representative bullshit. I’d say she’s trailer trash Barbie, but I’ve seen Trailer Park Boys, and they’re far classier than the Representative from Colorado.
But good news is on the horizon. Adam Frisch, who lost by less than 600 votes in 2022, is running again, and with far more name recognition and financial support.
