Please Give Me The Best YouTube Music Links You Have (Need Help Fast)

This day topped the steaming pile of festering days I’ve navigated for quite some time. I could use some musical reasons to plod through the next couple of obstacle-course saturations on my plate. The more the better. Please.

Chase the Clouds Away

Written by Chuck Mangione for his son. CM is my go-to guy for pick-me-ups.

For almost 40 years!

What styles of music do you like? Here, this might cheer you up in the meantime: Charles Has a Licking Problem

Edit: What the hell…This guy is awesome. Upbeat, spontaneous, electronic music made by a goofy dude in his spare bedroom.

Three that help me when I’m down. for entirely different reasons.

Rats. Lost the post I was composing. I do love Paul Simon. I love Jack White, The Black Keys, REM, The Band, Eric Clapton, Cake, Otis Redding, Elvis Costello. I love a good pop song. I don’t have to be inspired. I would just love some distraction. I’ve been exposed to so many bands through the SDMB by listening and reading every music thread. Not so crazy about country music. Send me anything and everything and I will be grateful.

Gallows Fodder: It’s not a problem until the dog thinks it’s a problem. If I had more energy, I would pick up my guitar and play along.

Ducati - That Chuck Mangione song makes my little first world problems seem, well… little. Big world; little PoorMarie.

Mike O’Connell and Ken Jeong singing to try to get laid “What’s it Gonna Be?” WARNING: Dirty Words

Beth Thornley pretends she’s still in Middle School in the video for “You’re So Pony” which oughta cheer ANYBODY up
(and this one you can watch even if your grandmother were seated right next to you)

This one song from my Christmas EP is actually a non-Holiday specific “Winter” song, so it’s still relevant for another couple weeks or so.
“That Early Winter Sundown”

“Happy Synthesizer” danced by the cutest little kid. She’s SO good. And not just ‘little kid good’.

Listening to Trip Shakespeare always makes me happy.

Their first national TV appearance, on Letterman in 1983.

This site has tons of originals…

This links to mine, your more than welcome to shuffle and discover all that’s over there.

Go here to listen to my most favorite singer James Otto sing what I think is one of his best songs named “I Got Your Back”.

God bless you and him always!!!

Holly

IMO, the single best music video on the internet, Blue Man Group covering Baba O’Riley.

And in case you’re the person who hasn’t yet seen it – Oppa Gangnam Style.

This gets me up no matter how low I may be and it jumps, too:
Lyle MAYS Chorinho.

My music listening tends not to be the happy upbeat stuff, but here’s what I’ve had recently…

Пикник, a Russian band that I looked up after they were mentioned in a Russian novel I’m reading at the moment. Good for listening to when I’m reading the book, but a bit distracting because I pick up maybe one word out of fifty.

I’m currently working my way through this piano arrangement of “The Ecstasy of Gold.” I’m currently working on mastering the fourth measure.

If you want a neat game trailer with your music, here’s the trailer for CP2077. The actual song is Bullets, by Archive.

A piano medley of Kid Icarus music, from the original NES game.

A couple of mind-bending Ke$ha music videos that are impossible not to like:
C’mon
Blow

The Beach Boys singing some of their hits live (and acoustically) last year. They’ve been doing this for 50 years and it’s still wonderful:
