My neighbor has a painting she thinks is watercolor. It is of a vase filled with flowers - a lot of burnt oranges, yellows… very vibrant. It is also very large. The date 1916 is on it, and it looks like the name is “Cberndt Bremen” or “C Berndt Bremen.” The neighbor would just like some more info about the artist, if possible. Google isn’t really pulling up anything, mostly websites in German (which neither of us read).
No idea, but Bremen is likely to refer to the German town by that name, rather than be part of the painter’s name. HTH.

The artist was Carl Berndt; I still cannot find anything about him.
