Motorcycle film

Came out on home video before 2001

I thought the name of the film was biker boys, with an S not a Z.

It definitely could not be Biker Boyz with a z because the protagonist and most of his gang are Caucasian, and ride Harleys not crotch rockets.

What I remember of the plot is, the protagonist has just been released from jail and his buddy picks him up at the bus station on a Harley, the protagonist asks who’s bike his buddy says yours.

Protagonist is a badass his buddy is a wussy bottom-feeder.

He tells his buddy he didn’t come right home, after jail, because he spent some time traveling.

Long story short, they used to be in a criminal biker gang together, the protagonist now wants to go straight, the original leader of the gang is no longer around or something and the gangs now being led by a Loose Cannon type.

The gang under new leadership is trying to sell drugs they refer to as monkey tranqs.

I believe the buyers for the drugs are the younger brothers of some big gangsters.

Gang wants the protagonist to go along as muscle, drug deal goes bad people died now the protagonist is on the Run.

The protagonist name might be bone.

The protagonist in his buddy refer to each other as cellies, and it is either said or heavily implied that the protagonist protected his buddy in jail for sex.

Now the story.

In 2001 I worked in a video rental store I rented the video several times and watched it then somebody else rented it and didn’t bring it back.
I remember looking it up in the big catalog and it was available but I didn’t want to buy it.

In the years since I’ve searched on the internet and I can never find anything about it, and my movie Google fu is pretty good.

I can’t say what year was made but it’s definitely a modern film I would say at least a 80s but I would bet money that it’s from the 90s.
I’m sure it had to be out on video by 2001 because I only worked at that video store for a few months and I remember hearing the news about the airplanes hitting the World Trade Center on 9/11 while I was working at that store.

1993’s Running Cool has a main character named Bone, but nothing else matches up with what you describe.

The only other biker movie that maybe pings some of what you described (that I can think of) is Eye of the Tiger with Gary Busey. I just don’t remember enough of it, tho… I know I saw it 30 years ago, even remember that I rented it at the store on W Tennessee by the Winn-Dixie, but that’s all I got. FWIW, the main character (Busey) is named Buck. Most of your details don’t fit this either, but I thought I’d throw it out there.

I’ve definitely seen 1993s running cool, the character name stuck with me because I remember two biker movies with bone as the main character’s name and running cool was definitely one of them.

On IMDB, using keywords/filters “Bikers” and “Violence,” I get 1993’s Beyond The Law.
I recall seeing this on TV, might’ve been HBO, I don’t remember. But it sorta kinda meets your timeframe.

That one’s not it but it is a great movie, Charlie Sheen definitely rocks, tiger blood on a motorcycle.:smiley:

It is American or at least full of Americans. It looked like a major realease of the time. But I don’t remember any big stars in it, but I haven’t seen it in 16 years.

The quality of the film was at least as good as stone cold, not like evil dead.
In 2001 at the rental place it was a catalog movie,ie not on the new release wall, but it has a newer look and feel than Roadhouse.

I remember the drug deal scene, when the buyers tried to kill the sellers, in a small room , the protagonist ran thru these guys like a special forces bad ass. Grab a gunman’s arm, spin and break it while shooting other bad guys with the gun still in dudes hand. Very Michael Weston like, economy of movements,one move leads to the next.

Also the gangster/buyers may have been Asian or Spanish. They were young,25ish

But I’m reaching for details I may not remember clearly.

Wow. I’m coming up with nothing. I’m a fan of grindhouse movies and exploitation flicks, too. It’s kind of pissing me off that I both haven’t seen this flick and that I can’t come up with anything even close to what you’re describing.

I’m gonna go watch Psychomania, in fact. Maybe that’ll kickstart my memory or something.

I waited almost a year to bring this back. Before doing so, I searched google and wiki and imdb again.

Sorry to leave you hangin, Omar, but I did see the list last year, and double checked this year as well as doing my own search on that page. no joy.

I don’t have any new info, I guess I’m hoping for new eyes, or jogged memories.

Honestly, this haunts me a bit. It feels just like those Mandela brain farts, like the carpet has been pulled from beneath one’s feet. :eek::smiley:
