Help!
I’ve been trying to remember one of those usenet “laws” (like Godwin’s Law ) that had to do with grammar and spelling. It went something like this:
“Any flame about someone else’s spelling or grammar will itself contain a spelling or grammar mistake.”
If memory serves, there’s actually a version of this law named for someone who hangs out right here on the SDMB.
Anyone’s memory better than mine?

Gaudere’s Law. It’s actually hit Wikipedia, so maybe it’ll catch on other places now.
Awesome! Thanks very much.

Alas, the reference in Wikipedia has been removed. It was originally placed there by an SDMBer. Although on the SDMB we call it Gaudere’s Law, it was first stated on Usenet in 1990 by one Andrew Bell.
