Please help me with this anti-Bush song

Okay.

Bush…he’s evil! He’s just like Hitler!
Why?
Well…umm…well…because BrainGlutton said so!
That’s why!

Good start. Work on the scansion and decide what tune to set it to.

The tune should definitely be the Horst Wessel song…it’s a double-entendre since you’d be simulataneously calling Bush a Nazi while also using Goebbel-esque propoganda as the Nazis did by spreading the “big lie.”

(to the tune of “Start Me Up”)

Well, he wrote a song
RikWriter did, don’t think it took too long
But it doesn’t rhyme
Ain’t got no tune, it’s just a waste of time
He oughta fix it up
Or start another thread where he can whine
He’s all bent outta shape
Because his candidate’s a bungler, bungler, bungler, bungler…

I wasn’t comparing Bush with Hitler in my lyrics, Rik. You thought up that one yourself. And at this stage in history, it is extremely reckless for any Bush-backer to be bringing up the idea of the “big lie”! :stuck_out_tongue:

Naw, I’ll stick to this thread, which was founded for the whining by the whining and of the whining.

No, not really, since we’re aware who’s using the Big Lie.

Good, then we’re all on the same page. Isn’t that something you’d want to hide, though?

No, I think you’re in a completely different book…most likely one by Mickey Moore.

Who’s that?

Speaking of the Big Lie…

Sorry, gang, but just because it rhymes doesn’t mean it belongs in Cafe Society. I’m moving it to the Pit.

And, Brainglutton, off-hand remarks about death or suicide are NOT acceptable.

You’re no fun anymore!

Mickey Moore was a good friend of mine in high school. Startling to see him mentioned in a thread this way. And to find a page of his on the web to boot. So that’s what he’s doing now!

There’s also this Mickey Moore. Not the same guy.

Re the side conversation between RikWriter and Mr 2001.

Oh… that must be the guy. I haven’t read his book, but I did watch The Ten Commandments a few years ago.

  I can’t see how either of those – the nonlinear dynamics physicist Mickey Moore or the child actor Mickey Moore – could written a book relevant to . . .

Oh, I get it! He meant Michael Moore! :smack:

Come on, let’s have some more lyricizing! Just because we’ve been thrown out of CS doesn’t mean we can’t have some poetic/musical fun with this!

See, when the Bush Administration uses innuendo, deception, and half-truths to sell almost every single one of their policies and to get the public to make connections that don’t exist (like Saddam and Al Qaeda, Saddam and 9/11), that’s a good thing.

But, when Michael Moore plays Bush’s game in a film by putting a bunch of true facts together that might admittedly lead people to make connections that may not exist, that is the moral equivalent of Naziism.

It all makes perfect sense once you think about it, Brain Glutton.

I was going to use the music for Crazy Train by Ozzie Osbourne. But then, on reading the lyrics, I realized we don’t need to change a single letter. (No, I’m not quoting the entire thing. Just one verse.)

“I’ve listened to preachers
I’ve listened to fools
I’ve watched all the dropouts
Who make their own rules
One person conditioned to rule and control
The media sells it and you live the role”

Either that, or to the tune of “Kyle’s Mom is a Big Fat Bitch” from South Park: Uncut.

Weeeeeeeelllllllll…
G.W.'s got a little dick,
it’s the littlest dick in this whole world!
To get over the fact that he’s got a little dick
he bombs the shit out of the third world

That’s all I’ve got so far. Needs work.
