A few years back I asked for a shot of Butterschnaps to sip on & satisfy my sweet tooth. The waitress said, “You don’t want one of those, we’ve got something better.” She returned with a butterscotch tasting drink, but it didnt’ taste like it had Butterschnaps as the main ingredient—if at all. It tasted really buttery. It was served warm/hot. I’ve always thought that it was home-made butterscotch. IIRC, she told me it was called a “hot buttered nipple.”
Since then, no one has been able to identify it, and my Googling has turned up nothing useful. It really tasted like butterscotch; i.e., I’m skeptical that it was any sort of rum drink.
Anybody got any clues?
Thanks.
