Our very own Tatertot has had a lot go on in her life this past week, both good and bad.
I’m pleased to report a little more good.
This Friday is Tatertot and her husband’s fifth anniversary! They are taking a little trip to celebrate, but she’ll no doubt be back online soon enough, and I’m sure she would absolutely love it if you kind hearted people would wish her a happy fifth anniversary.
Please congratulate one of our classiest posters on her happy occasion!
Following the Eurodope tradition with a Danish birthday song for tater, here’s the traditional song for anniversaries - enjoy (well, try to):
“Det er saa yndigt at fölges ad,
for to som gerne vil sammen väre.
Der er med gläden man dobbelt glad,
og halvt om sorgen saa tung at bäre.
Ja det er gammen, at leve sammen,
at leve sammen, naar hjerteflammen
er kärlighed, er kärlighed”
And now, our friend Coldfire will make an ass out of himself by trying to translate some Danish. I might as well try to pick up on it, what with the Holland vs. Denmark match coming up tonight!
Huh? This is much harder than those oneliners meaning things like “Gimme a beer, you Danish prick” and “Would you consider a mutual act of copulation in my fathers automobile?”!! Screw it, we’ll just have to beat them at foorball
Anyways: many more happy years of marriage is what I wish for Tatertot and Mr. Tater. Or Spud, whatever.
Happy Fifth anniversary to you and Mr. Tatertot. You are a tremendously darling and sweet lady, and you deserve to have a completely wonderful marriage!
Congratulations, tatertot and Mr. Happy milestone in your lives, and here’s to many, many more of same!
Gift basket I brought and contents:
Wine that you may never thirst, salt that you may always have lots of spice in your lives, and a loaf of bread that you may never know hunger and always have plenty.

Oh DRY, you are such a sweetie! I’ve officially put you on my alternate husband list, so if anything happens to the one I’ve got (like he suggests Neo for the babie’s name one more time), you get to take over his duties. And trust me, it’s a cushy position; three homecooked meals a day, laundry washed & ironed, and sometimes I even wash the car!
Thanks everyone, it feels like we’ve reached a real milestone. People said we’d never make it, but we did! It’s not always been easy, but through it all I’ve never once felt unloved, which is saying a lot.
S.Norman, you know what the frustrating thing about Danish (and Dutch) is? It looks like I should be able to understand it, since it seems like someone just took an English dictionary and a German dictionary and tossed them together to make a language, but I can’t. I’m pretty sure it says that it is a lucky man indeed who marries tatertot, but I can’t be sure…
