Please recommend i-radio that works w/ a firewall

Work sucks, but it got worse when the IS department upgraded the company site to include firewalls, which blocks out pretty much everthing I try to listen to on the web. The only thing that I can get to work is something called “Abacast”, which plays the same playlists of about 30 songs over and over and over.

Can someone recommend something I can listen to through my work computer that wouldn’t be interrupted by a firewall? There must be someone out in SDMB land that’s already done this.

I think your key is going to be to look for a non-UDP based radio network, as many corporate firewalls blindly block all UDP-based traffic.

Well I’m trying to find it, but not having much luck. Providing a link would help alot, if possible…

Streamer seems to be working on my work comp. It uses TCP eventually after timing out on UDP. Somewhat limited and eclectic content though (but I like that). Needs Winamp 2, not 3.

thanks for the suggestion, alimarx, but Streamer doesn’t do anything. It doesn’t even time out.
