Please spoil the last four episodes of "24" for me

Having missed it the first time around, I set my Tivo to record the “24” marathon on Labor Day and was watching them one a day… until yesterday, when, to my horror, the Tivo accidentally deleted the last four episodes of the show (That’s from 8 PM to midnight). The local Blockbusters don’t have those episodes on DVD, and with season 2 impending I don’t wanna be out of the loop. My sanity relies on somebody telling me what happened. (NOTE: At the end of the last episode i’d seen, the power had just been shut off at the prison Victor Drazen was in and Kim was still in jail after an unsuccesful attempt to convince the cops of her innocence.)

Wow, really going on a sketchy memory here, but here goes:

Kim finally gets to call CTU and they convince the cops that she’s telling the truth and start taking her to CTU. But the bad guys ram the car and kidnap her again.

Victor Drazen is sprung from prison by his family, and takes Bauer as a hostage, killing Lou Diamond Philips’ prison guard character.

Kim is taken to the bad guys, and Jack is told to take a cell phone to Palmer so the terroristst can negotiate with him if he doesn’t want Kim to get hurt. He does. At the last minute, Jack realizes that the phone is actually a bomb, and tosses it out the window in the nick of time.

But he convinces Palmer to spread the lie that he has been killed to help him save his daughter, who he fears will be killed if the terrorists learn he’s thwarted their plans.

Everyone at CTU finds out, and it’s revealed that Nina is the mole, as we see her calling the terrorists and telling them that Palmer didn’t really die.

I’m a little fuzzy here, but the terrorist hideout is somewhere by the docks. Kim manages to escape and hide from the bad guys. Jack goes back to the hideout to get Kim, unaware that she’s escape. He tells Nina, who lies to him that the police have found a body in the ocean that’s probably Kim, hoping this will stop him from going after the terrorists. Instead, it makes him angrier, and he takes a bulldozer through the wall of the building and kills Drazen and a bunch of other people in a giant shootout. Kim finally makes it somewhere safe and Jack learns from the shore patrol that they haven’t found any body in the ocean at all. A little while later, he learns that Kim is alive, and is of course now totally suspicious of Nina. He looks up the tape of Nina interrogating Jamie, and finds out that Nina killed Jamie; it wasn’t suicide. He calls up CTU and tells them to grab Nina, who knows that she’s exposed and is trying to get out of there.

Nina is somewhere in the CTU HQ’s in the basement, trying to get a plane out of the country. She shoots a guard when Teri comes in to talk and thank her for helping (since she still doesn’t know that Nina’s bad). But she sees the body, and Nina sees her seeing the body and ties her up.

Jack gets back to CTU and Nina is trying to drive out. She’s stopped by about a dozen guys with guns, but Jack breaks through and puts his gun right to her face. He’s talked out of shooting her, and she’s arrested.

Finally, he’s reunited with Kim, who asks about her Mom. Jack says she’s somewhere here at CTU, and goes looking for her. He finds her tied up, with a gunshot wound to the heart. He quickly unties her and carries her out in the hall, looking for help, but the scene closes with him crying as he embraces her, and it’s pretty clear that she’s already dead.

I reccomend that you sue the Tivo people.

There’s also the sub-plot of Sen. Palmer’s evil wife. When the phone explodes, she is dead-set against Palmer pretending to be dead in order to help save Jack’s daughter. Palmer of course feels indebted to Jack so he does it anyway. Through a press contact, Mrs. Palmer (does she have a first name? She reminds me of Lady MacBeth  ) breaks the news that Sen. Palmer is OK. This makes things tougher for Jack, as the terrorists are now aware Palmer is not dead. Toward the end, Palmer orders the Secret Service to keep his wife away from him and sends her back to wherever they’re from. She yells “You can’t do this to meeeeeee!!!” and will probably cause a shitstorm in season 2.
