These are additions to replace mods who retired or resigned some time ago. No one has been officially removed. We have been extremely short-handed for many months, but getting new mods on board was delayed by the change to Discourse and the loss of TubaDiva.

Moderator Note
This was bumped by a spammer who has since been wished away to the cornfield.
Our new moderators have now been here for several months and, as they have attained the rank of journeymods, they no longer have that fresh new mod smell.
Which is frankly a relief.
Mods are the exception to the trope that “fresh X smell” is enjoyable. 
Does this mean we can’t welcome them again?
You can buy a spray bottle of that “New Mod Smell” at Wal-Mart.

“New Car Smell” is kind of an admixture of plastic, chemicals, depreciation and second thoughts. I’ve never understood its popularity.
On the other hand, my car usually smells like dog.
I’m sure the mods smell just fine. But I’ll take their word for it. Is this milk bad? Just taste a little. No thanks. Keep doing your excellent job.
