Inspired by this thread. It’s been locked due to being “pretty much answered to the standards of GQ”, but also (I suspect) in part because it’s drug-related. Let’s say I have some additional information related to the subject (info that is guaranteed non-illegal) and that I think would be of interest. Would there be an approved way of providing this information? If so, what would be the mechanism?
Send an email to the moderator(s) of the affected area. Tell 'em you have something to contribute, be specific.
If it’s worth adding, they may well reopen the thread for that, or tell you to start a new one.

Cool, thanks for the info. In the case of the toad-licking thread, it’s frankly not worth re-opening for what I’d contribute, but I was wondering about the general policy.
You could even state your new information with a link to the old thread; that would be a good thing to do.
