Polite Notice to Guinastasia

Whatchoo talkin’ abaht? That one’s the worst!

 :o    :stuck_out_tongue:

Don’t you mean:

?

;j

I’ve always dug Guin’s name, although this thread for the one and only time did cause me to misread it as “Polite Notice to Genitalia”.

That’s not nice. My Queen’s* Own English Keyboard is devoid of any such symbol.

Perhaps I should have said:
Just my £0.012132**
lieu, I once met a Jenny Taylor, still cracks me up.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Hey-and deprive me of my very first Pitting? I think NOT!

:stuck_out_tongue:

(Am I allowed to use that smiley?)

Oh, ye of short memory!

I read the title as “Police notice to Guinastasia.” (she’s been arrested   :dubious: )

Hmm, you may be right. OTOH, there are some clueless dudes here, who, if I said somthing like: “Hey, now that’s a great idea.” would think I was being complimentary, so the emoticon clarification.

However, not remembering sparring with you, I had no idea you knew me from Adam, or cared- so (and this is sincere, if confused)- thanks, I guess.

I will be careful with reduntant smilies in the future. :smack:

No one can use the name before I do! I’m planning on using the name in my current novel. If it ever gets published, I’ll mention Guin and the SDMB in my acknowledgments.

I’ll do you the same favor someone once did me on these very boards a while ago:

To do the “¢” symbol… all you have to do is press the Alt key, plus 0162 on your numeric keypad.

¢ ¢ ¢

F_X

On my keyboards it’s actually [ALT 155]. I get ó with [ALT 162].

Yeah, so try [ALT 0162] instead…

My name is Stacy and IF I had had a daughter (got two sons), I was considering Guinevere.

I think your name is hands-down the most beautiful name I’ve ever heard. I’m being totally real. I hope you don’t shorten it or have a nickname.

…and, oh yeah, stop using the rolleyes (joking!).

How to make special characters

So it’s like Spider-man’s first girlfriend as spoken with a stereotypical thick Italian accent?

Deva, I hate to break it to you, but it’s not my real name-I made it up. My real name is Kathleen and I go by Kathi or Kat.

Guin, dude, you’re a total Asuran!

What a lame rant.
