It’s one of those childish things you have to expect in some neighborhoods. Some good neighbor (we don’t live on a through street) visited us uninvited, unannounced and under cover of darkness to tread upon our newly-sodded lawn and remove our paid-for political sign. Since we were not lighting the sign, it was probably taken by someone who had seen it earlier, but was not overcome with the uncontrollable urge to steal until darkness had reduced the odds of being caught. Given that, and the fact that the sign was pro-democratic, it seems we were graced with the intrusion and theft of a republican – you know how those guys are when it comes to the sanctity of private property: hypocritical.
Strange: I’m in a very lefty neighborhood (“no iraq war”, “impeach bush” and Obama signs in windows of probably 75% of the houses, almost no republican stuff at all), and the signs for a local Democrat were stolen from my yard and the yard across the street today. Assholes.
Oh. :smack: Thanks Robot Arm, and apologies to kaylasdad99 for any aspersions cast due to my misunderstanding.
No worries.
