I’m interested in men, and SOME hats look great on SOME men. Baseball/gimme caps, even with the bill facing forward, rarely look good on anyone. However, I will admit that they’re fairly practical when the bill is facing forward, it keeps the sun or harsh light out of the eyes. Baseball caps are also practical when driving, as the brim of just about any other style of hat will hit the headrest, which is quite annoying.
I wear a cowboy hat myself, because my eyes are sensitive to bright light. The hat looks better than a baseball cap on me. I’ve decorated it with a feather medallion and some beads.
