My husband and I were having a discussion about homosexual porn over some ice cream this evening (what? doesn’t everybody?), and I was of the opinion that most ladies like guy-on-guy porn, the way most guys like girl-on-girl porn, and he said that he thought that was incorrect - that most ladies don’t particularly like guy-on-guy porn (but most guys do like the girl-on-girl porn). Being the hip, modern cats we are, we decided to post some polls on our respective message boards and find out what the general population thinks.
Girls - do you like:
A. Guy-on-guy porn.
B. Girl-on-girl porn.
C. Neither.
Guys - do you like:
D. Guy-on-guy porn.
E. Girl-on-girl porn.
F. Neither.
My choice is E. But not the silly stuff you see in most porn. There’s something different about women who seem to be geninuely enjoying each other’s company as opposed to putting on a show for the cameras. But that’s true of my interest in guy/girl porn, too.
As for guy/guy porn, I’m not sure. I’ve only run across guy/guy porn by accident, and am usually surprised enough to flip away pretty quickly. I’ve never made a purposeful effort to observe.
I don’t know my wife’s opinion of guy/guy porn. I do have one good female friend who ADORES guy/guy and has quite a collection, from what I understand. (She also has midget porn…I have no opinions about this.)
I’m a chick and I would choose C 99.9% of the time. Every .01% of the time, B can be entertaining. A is a total no go: doesn’t do a thing for me and is, honestly, a huge turn off.
And I recall having a discussion with a guy friend of mine. He said he was going off to watch some porn and I said, “Ah, hot girl on girl action?” To which he replied, “Hell no, I like to watch a girl get reamed.”
As Asimovian says, though, it’s hotter if the girls are obviously enjoying it and not just doing it for the camera. Yes, we can tell the difference.
I have to say I’m not really a huge fan of guy/girl porn. You see, invariably the women are smokin’ hot, and the guy is… well, fat, tattooed, hairy, (or all three), and most of the guy/girl porn I’ve seen either has the guy calling the woman a bitch/slut/whore whatever and treating her like shit, or it’s all arty and pretentious.
Guy/guy porn does nothing for me. Two (or more!) women screwing each other with every imaginable variety of dildo? Hot, hot hot. Two (or more) guys screwing each other? Nothing. I’m sure it works for some people though, and more power to them.
I run into quite a lot of women who are into the whole guy/guy thing though, but even more interestingly, lots of guys who hate girl on girl action. I’ve never understood that, myself…
I can’t say I care for girl-girl porn. Not turned off, mind you, just never considered it particularly hot. Guy-guy stuff is another matter…sort of. I can’t say I care too much for contemporary gay porn. The guys usually look like women to me. Wha-wha-what, you say? The problem with the guys in gay porn is the obsession with vanity that you see with women has infected gay porn and robbed it of the strong-but-natural, relaxed masculine charm that I associate with male sexuality. Seeing male bodies pumped, buffed, shaved, waxed, tweezed, tanned (faux or real) and trimmed…ewwww. Just…ewww. I don’t care how much muscle you pack onto men like that, and I don’t care how big his dick is. He still looks like a female bodybuilder with a penis. A writhing, wrestling, tangled knot of sweaty, hungry male energy. along the lines of, oh, I dunno, a bunch of muscle bears (look it up), now that’s a horse of a different color…
My husband would choose E before D, but enjoys some D every now and then if I’m watching it. (Which sort of goes along with what Malienation said.)
A gay bar we were in last weekend was showing ‘soft’ guy/guy porn on several of their TV screens, and he commented that the actors/models in the particular footage were his image of an ‘ideal man.’ I had to compliment him on his taste. They were fine indeed.
I choose option A all the way. Two hot men together, what’s not to like? Second would be regular hetero porn, as long as it’s not just showing the woman.
B does nothing for me (what do I care about watching women for?)
Female here. I’m happy if anybody’s getting good sex, really. My hangups are more psychological than connected to physiology. The only things guaranteed to turn me off are things like porn that involves humiliating someone (seriously, and not as part of a role-play), or non-consensual sex. A lot of paraphilias just kind of make me go ‘eh?’ but I wouldn’t discount porn specifically because it involved 'em.
I am, however, an anime fan, so the guy-on-guy collection is WAY bigger than any of the others.
Realy for me tho’ it’s about variety. The kind of which I could never have in real life unless I were to somehow transform into a famous rock star about twenty years younger.
Then I take it you’ve never heard of Peter North any of the other current male porn stars who are much better looking and treat the women better than the old porn in the 70s, 80s and early 90s. Porn has changed a lot. There’s still a lot of the filth and sleaze but there’s just as much guy/girl porn without it.
Anyone complaining about ugly guys in porn, by the way, need to look at some porn from Eastern Europe. The guys are the best looking men I’ve ever seen (and I am straight.) The women too. Magyar porn rules.
