I got a 6 pack of Redhook ESB for Christmas, I drank the 3rd of the 6 last night with dinner. The 3 left should last about a month. And it tastes mighty fine to me.
I’m also a fan of the Deschutes Black Butte Porter. It’s dark but not too bitter, and almost has a bit of chocolate taste to it (I understand they use a chocolate malt). I tried the Rogue Dead Guy sort and found it very bitter and sharp. Of course, my beer education and experience is progressing slowly, because the brew of choice around here seems to be Pabst Blue Ribbon. :rolleyes: Never tried it, never will. To be an Uncle George (as per the Family Words thread), I don’t like it, and even if I tried it, I wouldn’t like it! The smell is all I need to know.
Correction. Schlafly’s is a St Louis brew (and mighty tasty) but Boulevard is Kansas City, Missouri.
Dammit, guys! I said it was a good beer, I didn’t say come steal one from me.
Went out to the fridge a few minutes ago and two of the six-pack were GONE.
Freakin’ dorm life, man, I tell you what.

and I second Tsingtao (though I dislike the idea of buying Chinese products) and also would like to mention Sapporo.
