Poll: Soft Drinks

You forgot to include iced tea.

“Ice tea” is just hot water with an ice cube dipped into it.

Coke and Dr. Pepper. Of the “white” sodas, both 7-Up and Sprite taste just fine to me, but give me horrible indigestion for some reason; Sierra Mist does not, so if I get a “white” soda, it’s Sierra Mist.

I personally can’t stand the carbonation. In my entire life (I’m 29) I’ve had less then a half a can of soda. Just can’t stand the feeling of the bubbles on my tongue and throat.

I can drink beer, ____and tonics and Whiskey Sours (I use Squirt for those), but that’s it for carbonated drinks.

Diet Pepsi or Diet coke. However, I usually prefer seltzer water if available. I can drink 12 of them with no calories.

You can’t have a proper G&T without tonic water.

Faygo Grape.

Moving thread from IMHO to Cafe Society.

Mmm…Faygo. I need to make a trip to BevMo one of these days.

Around Casa Silenus, the fridge is stocked with Diet Orange Crush, Sierra Mist Free, Coke Zero and a sampling of boutique ginger beers.

Surprised to not see the Dew of the Mountain listed.

Anyway, (diet) Vernors all the way, for me.

And if you drop a load of vanilla ice cream in it, I won’t fuss.

My first preference is water but I’ll drink diet anything.

Other Pepsi: Cherry Pepsi. I drink AT LEAST one can a day. I LOVE Cherry Pepsi.

Other: Another vote for the strangely missing Mt. Dew. To me Mt. Dew is the only soda that tastes just as good warm as it does cold. I will actually keep Dews out of the fridge for the sole purpose of drinking it warm sometimes.

I’m good for a couple of cans of Pepsi One each day.

Does the US not have Coke Zero? It tastes way more like the original Coca-Cola and trumps Diet Coke. Anyone I know who has had both prefers Coke Zero. (Zero for 0 calories, of course). Rumours say it is based off of New Coke, but whatevs, I loves it.

Coke Zero, all the way!

Although I preferred Diet Coke with Splenda for the brief time it was available.

Edit: cross-post with Kushiel. Yes, it’s available all over the US where I’ve been.

Diet Mountain Dew. If not available, Coke Zero or Fresca.

Yes, we have it, but to me at least it tastes a little “off.” I can drink it with a meal, and it’s fine, but to just drink by itself, I don’t much care for it.

I wish they’d bring back Coke2 (1/2 the sugar).

I love the good Dr.

Dr. Pepper, that is. In a pinch, I’ll have lunch with his uneducated friend, Mr. Pibb.

Yeah, oops - noticed the typo for ICED TEA only after the poll was up and running. Sorry.
Regarding several asking about “soft drinks” including Iced Tea and Juice and other non-sodas, I was going for what you would find in a menu under “Soft Drinks” - and they pretty much include anything non-alcoholic. I didn’t include water as that is sort of a given - I have to assume everyone drinks water occasionally. I suppose I could have included mineral water though. I was tempted to include Fresca and Ginger Ale, etc. but the list would have grown very quickly and then would have had to include RC cola and other regional drinks that probably are not even available in some areas.

Actually - I forgot one of my own occasional favorites in my own poll:
Diet Creme Soda - not always available, but nice when I can find it.

Sprite over 7 Up.

C Plus over Orange Crush (not sure if that’s a Canadian thing.)

Another vote for Diet Mountain Dew.
