I like Mr. Pibb, but it’s gotten scarce in southern California since McDonald’s dropped it for Dr. Pepper.
I also like to make a half and half mixture of Dr. Pepper and Root Beer.

Jolt, Squirt and Mountain Dew (all variations), in that order.
Wanna throw in Barqs.
I love me some root beer and Barqs is all I drink.
Mostly I drink water or real, unsweetened iced tea (not ice tea, btw). But I do enjoy a coke, root beer or the one you left off- ginger ale.
And one more time with feeling: Iced Tea, not Ice Tea.

Safeway’s store brand Go2 cola. I drink 4 a week.
Interesting to see Tab on the poll. That’s a blast from the past.
Diet Ginger Ale.
My favorite soft drink has always been regular Coca Cola, and when I got a job at McDonald’s back in high school, we were allowed all the soda we could drink. I quickly realized that all the regular Coke I could drink was not very good for me, so I weaned myself onto Diet Coke.
I drank Diet Coke exclusively for over a decade until I got completely sick of it in grad school. At that point I tried every other diet drink on the market. I learned that Diet Dr Pepper, Diet Crush, and diet root beer were all pretty good, and I still buy them occasionally, but the standout hit was Fresca.
My son likes it, too–we go through about two cases a week. You can’t always find it on sale, and when it goes on sale, the store often runs out. So when I find it on sale, we buy a bunch. I bought 16 cases last week.
Jesus, not even a mention of Royal Crown?
I’m one of those people who will go out of their way for it.
I’ll hafta go further and further out of my way if shelf space placement is any indication.
Sigh.
Just FYI, Barq’s is the only major brand of root beer that is not caffeine-free. Maybe that’s part of the attraction for you? Myself, when I drink root beer, it’s usually Diet A&W.
That actually started it cuz I liked root beer from the beginning, but needed a shot of caffeine. But after drinking it now it is my preference because of taste.
I love ice tea. I hate that when I buy it it’s always 5 times too sweet.
ETA: my home made batch of Ginger beer should be drinkable by tomorrow. I might switch my preferences to that, though it may or may not qualify as a “soft” drink.
Another diet Dew and Coke Zero drinker.
To me, Coke Zero is almost Tab. Diet Coke is just way too watered down and sweet. I used to drink diet Pepsi, but alas, it has taken on diet Coke’s more negative traits.
Iced tea is my go to drink at home.
When I can get it, I buy Sam’s Choice diet ginger ale. It has a much stronger ginger taste than most. To round out the list, diet IBC, diet Barq’s, Fresca, diet Sundrop, selzer with lime, and diet Sunkist. Like another poster, I miss diet Pepsi with either lemon or lime.
nectar of the gods
Another vote for Coke Zero, it’s the only soft drink I’ll drink. I don’t have it very often though.
I mainly get by on coffee, no sugar/milk.
Coke, Coke Zero, 7-Up, Orange Crush, and Surge. Of course, Surge is no longer being produced, so that kind of sucks for me.
You forgot “sodie pop”.
Alas - no Cheerwine or Sun Drop was listed. But I think those are local cokes.
I love Jolt Cola when I can get it.
But I voted for good old Coca Cola because I am, after all, an Atlantan.
Royal Crown Cola – IE, RC
A can of that and a Moon Pie and I’m ready for almost anything.
Diet Barq’s (some question as to whether or not it’s root beer), Pepsi Max (diet Pepsi with extra caffeine), Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper, Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi, Coke Zero with either cherry or vanilla. Can’t stand Diet Coke unless there’s a little of something else mixed in.
Right!
Raspberry (have only seen it in Diet Rite) is good, too.
