Poll: We are a "religious, sober nation"-- Do you fit in?

I find it impossible to believe, and I am one. For that matter, so is my best friend. This survey definitely sounds like an exercise in people praising their own virtuosity.

Watch television: Several times a day.
Tell someone that you love them: I’ll say several times or once a month, these days.
Pray: Never.
Floss your teeth: Trying to get back into the habit, so we’ll go with several times a month.
Read books for entertainment: Of late, it’s daily. I hope I keep that up.
Curse or swear: All the fucking time. Err, make that daily. I’m from New York, this is what we do.
Exercise: I don’t, to my embarrassment. When the weather gets better I’ll go back to playing tennis with my roommate.
Think about terrorist attacks: What exactly does this mean? I read about them in Iraq regularly. Think about them happening here, or to me? I guess a few times a year. About as often as I fly.
Have an alcoholic drink: Never.

Lately I’ve decided that years from now - probably when I approach 40, like you’re supposed to - I’ll give up on the teetotalling and have a glass of wine with dinner. Praying, on the other hand, ain’t gonna happen. :stuck_out_tongue:

Watch television: Only Food Network or HGTV, during dinner. Nothing else.
Tell someone that you love them: Every day, several times.
Pray: Never have, never will.
Floss your teeth: I don’t even know what dental floss looks like.
Read books for entertainment: No, I read information instead, and the SD.
Curse or swear: Often, but not indiscriminately.
Exercise: If riding my bike from home to the bus and from the bus to work counts, then 5 days a week. Never been to a gym, or voluntarily run anywhere, though.
Think about terrorist attacks: Nope.
Have an alcoholic drink: Nope.

I also find it hard to believe that 48% of the country are teetotalers, even though my wife and I are. That’s just, well, get outta town!
