ZIA!!! Sigh. And the original is “too violent” to play for kids anymore. Maybe Adult Swim can play it?
For me it’s Plank, Johnny and Rolf.
I forgot all about Science Court.
Oh, and I used to love the older Space Ghost Coast to Coast. They were just so weird. Like the one that was only about 3 minutes long but it kept repeating and repeating. Or Raymond. Or … what was the name of his pet sea monkey?

(1)= came on with the Rocky and Bullwinkle show. It was probably the best cartoon show ever. Also IMHO, Barney, Bevis and Butthead and Ren and Stimpy are all sorry excuses for 'toons. Pure Garbage.
All of which were either totally Jay Ward productions, or with him involved peripherally. I LOVE that man!
All of which are off the air…as has been stated before, bless the Cartoon Network.
But it has to be a REALLY bad cartoon for me to switch channels. I am addicted to cartoons. Which is better than LOTS of things I could be addicted to, I guess.
I do love the Justice League and I learned to love Dexter’s Laboratory and Power Puff Girls, after first wondering why on earth I wasn’t changing the channel.
Futurama
Ed, Edd, and Eddy (love Edd) Courage, the Cowardly Dog
Dexter’s Lab (Dee Dee reminds me so much of my brother) Power Puff Girls
Family Guy
Johnny Bravo
I wish Nickelodean (sp?) still showed Rocko’s Modern Life. Now that was television. Got to love Heffer…
Banjo! BAAAAAANNNNNNNNJOOOOOOOOO!. I’m hoping that the Space Ghost/Williams St. guys realize at some point that there’s a fine line between funny nonsensical and just plain nonsensical, because some of the stuff on Space Ghost was just capital-b Brilliant. And yet Aqua Teen Hunger Force just makes me sad.
To answer the original post: Home Movies – best show on Cartoon Network (after Cowboy Bebop, of course) Sealab 2021 – second runner-up Time Squad Powerpuff Girls Dexter’s Laboratory Batman: the Animated Series and to a lesser extent, the new Justice League
Cowboy Bepop and Home Movies. I don’t think I could do without either at this point in my life. I’d be much more unhappy, anyway.
Home Movies is the only thing that makes me want to come out from beneath by bed except for an old Inspecter Closeau cartoon or two…I miss Pink Panther.
My ex used to call the animation style of HM and Dr. Katz “Eye-strain-o-vision.” I miss it. Now they do it in Flash.
Cyn
Actually, he’d have called me that too, if it hadn’t been for the threat of me beating him into a pink and lumpy jelly.
** Batman beyond
Space Ghost Coast to Coast**
are the only ones I’ve watched with any regularity in the last few years. But now that I get the Cartoon Network, I plan to try watching the Adult Swim.
Digimon, seasons 2 and 3.
X-Men: Evolution
Cybersix (Well, I would, if it were still on. Lousy scheduling bastards)
Invader Zim
Family Guy
And finally, “Medabots.” For the voices and one-liners, if nothing else. And who could forget a series who’s villains are named after aquatic viscera?
Ranchoth
(“Head-butt, for good luck!”)
As for stuff out of the West, I liked Simpsons, Futurama and South Park when I could get them, but I haven’t seen any of them since we got rid of our TV. One of these days, I’ll get around to renting the newer episodes on DVD, but I don’t know if they’re even out yet.
Simpsons of course King of the Hill I love this show more every episode, Hank Hill is the man I wish I was <Hank Hill> I’ve only got 3 circular saws but I’ve got enough buffers to go around</hank hill> Space Ghost Coast to Coast and I really miss Cartoon Planet. So much more Brak on those. South Park although I rarely go out of my way to see them anymore, I still manage to catch them every week.

Nobody’s mentioned Heathcliff yet, so I’ll put in a vote for him. As a cat lover, I really enjoyed this cartoon as Heathcliff was one of the few cartoon cats who was portrayed as the good guy. I also like Felix the Cat. Conversely, I never cared much for how Sylvester was portrayed in Looney Tunes, and I especially hated Tom and Jerry for the same reason.
My favorite of all time is Looney Tunes, especially Bugs Bunny vs. Yosemite Sam, Bugs vs. Elmer Fudd, Bugs vs. Wile E. Coyote (I wish they had done more of these), Bugs vs. just about anyone he was up against, Wile E. Coyote vs. the Roadrunner, and Foghorn Leghorn. I actually prefer the newer Daffy Duck as I am more familiar with his appearance and his character on these. Porky Pig is okay, but I don’t care much for the older PP shows. As stated above, I don’t like the Sylvester cartoons, and Pepe Le Pew I could do without. I know there are others I am overlooking.
Outside of the realm of Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies, I also like Scooby Doo, the Flintstones, the Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Snagglepuss and some of the other Hanna-Barbara characters. As you can tell I am from the “old school” of cartoons. A lot of the new stuff doesn’t do anything for me.
