I wanted to start a poll on which SCOTUS justices might retire if President Obama were to be re-elected. When I got finished, I was surprised to find that polls weren’t allowed there. Is this by design or an oversight? Which forum would be appropriate for such a poll?
By design.
That sounds like a fine IMHO topic … where polling is allowed.
Thanks. I’ll put it there. I just thought that it might be a little too politicky from IMHO.
Not if you want a poll.
How about allowing polls in every forum except GQ and GD?
I would mention that I don’t even look in IMHO regularly. So a poll there with an election topic isn’t likely to be seen by me. I think you’d be more likely to get a stronger response of those specifically interested in the topic if the thread were allowed in Elections.
This makes sense to me. I’ll turn on polling in Elections when I get a chance.
Thanks Marley23. Would you mind moving this thread over there when you can? If President Obama is re-elected, will any of the "conservative" SC justices retire in his 2nd term? - Politics & Elections - Straight Dope Message Board
Done, and polling is now enabled in Elections. So I’ve edited the thread title, which was “How about allowing polls in the Elections forum?”
