Due to pet food being hard to find repeatedly over the past 3 years you’ve resorted to ordering cases of your pet’s food from Amazon, 40 cans to a case. It’s been okay, until the last couple of orders. Your second-to-last case had 12 dented cans. And your last order had 9 dented cans, with 2 dented so badly the seals popped and leaked.

Amazon won’t accept returns when you report that pet food arrived damaged. Instead they give you a full refund and say to keep, toss or whatever else you want to do with the food.

Do you ask for a refund for both damaged orders?

  • yes, ask for both to be refunded because both orders arrived with significant numbers of damaged product
  • no, less than 1 full case worth of cans between the 2 orders were damaged so 1 refund is fair

It’s Game 7 of the World Series. Score is tied. Bottom of the 9th. Bases are loaded. You are the batter. It’s two strikes and three balls.

The pitcher throws you a pitch that looks to be right on the border of the strike zone. In that split second, you know what it means.
