Think of a celebrity you despise. Imagine you see a thread on the SDMB about something that this celebrity said recently. All the participants so far in the thread are appalled by what the celebrity said. When you look into it, however, it seems to you that their words have been taken out of context. While you despise the celebrity in general, you think that, in this particular instance, they don’t really deserve the criticism they are getting. Do you defend them in the thread?
