Can Sexual Fantasies of Sadism and/or Masochism be bad for you Mentally?
I think it can be bad for people’s self image and therefore mental health.
I think it depends on the person and/or their approach to them.
They are just fantasies dude, as in- not real.
I think they can be, if they bleed out into everyday behavior.
I think they can be, if they take over your life.
It depends on how mentally obsessed they are about them.
Personally, I do not want to encourage either of those qualities in myself, even in fantasy.

Fantasies of Sadism are probably bad for many people mentally.
Fantasies of Masochism are probably bad for many people mentally.

They might be bad for people who do not separate fantasy and reality well. But that is a major mental health problem in and of itself.
They are just another kink. No big deal.
