Polls only: No discussion

So…how 'bout those folks who post comments in this thread?

(multiple choice)
  • Honest mistake makers
  • Haven’t had their coffee yet
  • Antisocial miscreants
  • Assorted troublemakers and ne’re-do-wells
  • Think the rules don’t apply to them
  • Should be given a pass, but only for the first offense
  • Should be ignored
  • Just want attention
  • Victims of brain flatus
  • Probably very elderly
  • Probably very young
  • Just want to see that Mustard guy make a poll about it, and make it public
  • Something else

Regarding nostalgia for the 80s, 90s, and early-middle 2000s, do you agree with any of the following?

  • I completely miss one of those times and would choose to live there again.
  • I miss some parts of life back then, but I also appreciate parts of life now.
  • Life is better now and I would never go back to one of those times.
  • The 2020s have more in common with the past than some people realize. Many things are not new, never changed or went away, etc.
  • The 2020s really are “that bad” and there will be little nostalgia for this time.
  • People often complain about the current decade. We will be nostalgic for the 2020s someday.
  • People are actually missing their childhood or another period in their own lives, not the decade itself.

Settle an old sports debate: What was the worst collapse by a North American sports team?

  • Falcons blowing a 28-3 lead over the Patriots in the Super Bowl
  • Yankees blowing a 3 games to 0 lead over the Red Sox in the ALCS
  • some other game or series

We are changing this thread’s Terms and Conditions. These are the new Terms and Conditions:

  • Polls only.
  • No discussion.

Um, hmm, ok, it looks like we are not actually changing any of our Terms and Conditions, nonetheless, we are making you agree to the Terms and Conditions again.

  • I agree to the Terms and Conditions
  • I do not agree to the Terms and Conditions, and will exit this thread immediately.

You can basically “discuss” anything you want here and as long as you put something as simple as a yes/no poll at the end of your discussion, you are technically good. Right?

  • Yes
  • No

In the example above, had the poster added a yes/no poll at the end, they would have been perfectly ok. Right?

  • Yes
  • No

On the other hand, simply calling something a poll simply because it has a poll cobbled on at the end might be seen as violating the spirit of the poll thread. Maybe a poll is something more than a random excuse for providing commentary perspective beyond the confines of the previous poll being commented upon.
