The town of Gilroy, California calls itself the “Garlic Capital of the World” (Although I hear Fresno is also trying to claim the “Garlic Capital” title). Every summer they they hold a Garlic Festival, which of course includes a lot of garlicky foods, and one staple of the festival is garlic ice cream.
Would you be willing to try garlic ice cream?
Yes, it sounds good!
I’d try it once for the novelty, but it doesn’t sound good.
I am an amputeer. I am here to inform you that you must lose one (or more) parts of your body. You get to choose. What is your choice? All losses are permanent. Choose one of the following:
One thumb of my choice
Both big toes AND my right to ever own a pet
Loss of sight in one eye AND my SDMB membership AND my favorite coffee mug
All my teeth except one (you can choose your kept tooth) AND both eyelashes
Every hair on my body AND my sense of smell AND three random fingernails
One ear (and hearing) AND four random toes AND the ability to pronounce the word “rhubarb”
Resolved: People who ask an interesting yes/no question in their thread titles but DON’T include a poll in their thread should just expect that I will post a poll here, where thoughtful and reliable poll-takers will give me the answer I desire.
Prince died six years ago today (April 21st, 2016). Looking back at it, a number of well-loved celebrities died in 2016. Which of the following losses from that year were you particularly upset or saddened by?
You are appointed or elected to a position of tremendous power (President, Supreme Court Justice, Prime Minister, etc.) Would your political views change during your time in office (i.e., become more conservative or liberal than you currently are), or would you keep them the same?
