So, when did the pig become the American breakfast meat of choice? (with apologies to Jews & Muslims)
I mean, you go to a restaurant or cafe for breakfast. Chances are, you’re offered a choice of meats – bacon, sausage, ham, etc. There could be steak, hamburger, chicken, or pork chops, too, but these are the BIG THREE. Why? It’s not necessarily so in other countries, where fish is a big breakfast protein. But why the pig? Can anyone answer me?
