Pork - The Breakfast of Champions

So, when did the pig become the American breakfast meat of choice? (with apologies to Jews & Muslims)

I mean, you go to a restaurant or cafe for breakfast. Chances are, you’re offered a choice of meats – bacon, sausage, ham, etc. There could be steak, hamburger, chicken, or pork chops, too, but these are the BIG THREE. Why? It’s not necessarily so in other countries, where fish is a big breakfast protein. But why the pig? Can anyone answer me?

See this thread: Why is bacon a breakfast food?

I thought beer was the breakfast of champions.

Mais non. According to a T-short worn by James Hunt (ancient race car driver) the phrase is “SEX - The Breakfast of Champions”.
