PORN chromosome

This is more or less a joke and a test, I am willing to wager, that the fact that the word “porn” is in the subject of those post, it will get more views than the a majority of other posts that are far more worthy of reading.

So, I wonder how come, a tendency to have anything to do with porn is generally looked down upon. Then when applied to these boards, it seems it takes nothing more than the mere mention of it and peole go clicking mindlessley away. Given that I also consider the general population of these boards to be intelligent and respectful people, why does reading about porn have more attraction that reading about something that might actually educate you on something?

What I am sort of stabbing at here is that perhaps porn is in fact not bad at all, and most of the world, seemingly religious people, have it all wrong, it is a normal healthy thing that everyone can not help being curious about.

Just some random thoughts, but I bet the thread statistics on this one will be pretty high, :slight_smile:

Your experiment is flawed - I came in here because I was trying to figure out what a “PORN chromosome” is, not simply because of the word “PORN” in the title.

A thread simply entitled “PORN” or “The PORN thread” would have been more appropriate - and I for one would not have entered a thread with that title.

General Questions is not the place for jokes or tests. If you want to discuss society’s hypocritical viewpoint regarding porn, I suggest you open a thread in Great Debates with a more descriptive title. Although, I’m willing to bet this has come up before.

Well, I came in here to joke that, in my experience, the ‘Y’ chromosome is the porn one. BTW, management takes a very dim view of such “experiments”. Stinky said it best.
