Porn/erotica preferences

I’m going to make this an anonymous poll for reasons that should be obvious. If you’re under eighteen you should probably find someplace else to play.

I write porn/erotica because there are many people who differentiate between the two. If you wish to explain why you do, well, that’s what posts are for, isn’t it?

The porn vs. erotica difference is very easy. In porn, we see graphic images of erect penises and/or gaping wet vaginas, the interaction thereof. In erotica, actors don’t have real sex. It’s like a mainstream movie’s sex scene.

By that reckoning, there is no difference between written erotica & written pornography; likewise, no difference between drawn/computer-generated erotica & pornography. Are you saying you see no difference?

No option for drawn porn in there. I like mine either written or drawn - seeing actual people go at it squicks me out.

Difficult to answer a lot of these. My preferences sort of go in waves. For a good long time, I liked pictures but hated movies. Now it’s the opposite. Sometimes I want hetero porn, but lately I’ve been enjoying all-girl porn. Sometimes I like a little bit of plot, usually I like none.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a partner that liked porn, although I have half a memory of renting a video that was part horror and part erotica, to entertain someone on Halloween.

I put it in and took it out. There’s already a zillion categories.

I am by far the most interested in situations that make someone horny beyond their control, like being constantly confronted with sex, or through magic, or anything else. It should take a while to allow good build-up, but I would be disappointed if it doesn’t end in nice orgasmic, pornographic sex. In that sense I am far more interested in the circumstance and foreplay than in the actual porn. I still like the actual porn in the end though, as, after all, it has been scientifically proven that this arouses just about everyone in the end, even if they are grossed out by it initially (as most people are).

C’mon, you know better than to say something like that on this board, in this thread. Shame on you, sir.

If you consult the RhymerFAQ, I believe you will find a notation that Rhymers are utterly shameless. All except Uncle Herb, and the rest of us have instructions to shoot that bastard on sight.

“What I like is erotica. What you like is porn.”

I was talking to a lesbian friend about a niece who might be gay. She asked me how I knew, and I told her about my responsibility of cleaning and delousing every computer owned by every member of my extended family, and when you do so the nature of their porn browsing habits become readily apparent. She claimed to be shocked that my niece used porn - and I asked how it was any different than the well-thumbed copies of “Susie Bright’s Best Lesbian Erotica” on her nightstand?

I use plotless video clips for masturbatory purposes, but I enjoy reading long, heavily plotted erotic stories just for enjoyment.

Reminds me of an old Hustler cartoon, where a Judge is saying, “If it makes your dick hard, it’s porn!”

Morning is porn?

^^^ THIS.

It is if you do it right.

For the “matching my sexual orientation” clump of questions, how does one categorize, for instance, a heterosexual male who likes material featuring a solo woman? That’s not really heterosexual or homosexual.

I also took the liberty of moderating absolute statements: Where a question said “anything”, for instance, I substituted “most things”.

My P/E preferences, (video, stills, stories), can change multiple times a day depending upon the mood.

I answered as best I could. Remember, I mostly don’t want to see people actually having sex, but an actual plot is weird, too. It’s more like I want to see things happen that I consider erotic.

Like I said before, I can find the type I like on YouTube.

I prefer video to erotica. I prefer erotica to still images. I’m a heterosexual male who mostly watches heterosexual porn, though I like girl-on-girl, too. I think erotica is written porn- that’s all. My favorite pornography involves sexual degradation of women, femsub BDSM, etc and that matches my real life sexual interests. Nearly all of my sexual partners have had tastes in porn that more or less match my own.

It’s erotic when you use chicken feathers; it’s porn when you use the whole chicken.

Nothing revs my engine like a long multiple-choice checklist.
