German porn I’ve heard about tends to be rather kink-oriented - severe bondage, scheisse, that sort of thing. Tends to make me think of the country in the late 1930s and early 1940s. Not something I’d want to watch.

I agree except that French porn hides the actors behind someone else’s voice whereas American porn lets them speak for themselves so to speak. What that means I don’t know. It’s freakin’ annoying.
I think Hungarian erotica is some of the best. For some reason Hungary has become a center of European porn, it seems, attracting the best talent from surrounding cultures. A lot of it is available for free online. The women are all amazing looking and the guys are all very handsome and well-groomed. And there’s not so much of the screaming, grunting and over-aggressive behavior that seems to typify American porn.
Negative ghostrider… Bukkake is not scat porn. It generally means “sprinkle” or “splash” and is most widely known as a way to make noodles. When used in an erotic context, it generally means a group of men ejaculating on a woman.
I spent a few moments pronouncing “plasterer’s radio” in as many different accents as possible, trying to make it sound dirty (“Plaster her Sradio”? What is that, some Hungarian anatomical term?), until I realized that you’re suggesting the visual image, rather than the phrase itself.

Having lived there for five years, I can attest to this fact. A whole hell of a lot of porn comes from Hungary and the Czech Republic (If you’ve ever seen porn by the Swedish company Private, you’ll hear a lot of Hungarian being spoken.) And almost every second woman in Budapest is just plain hot by American standards. Check out the Hungarian girls on any singles website and you’ll see what I mean. Some damn good gene pool out there.
I’m no porn expert (in fact, I’ve never watched any porn at all), but I know a bit about the global entertainment industry in general. It seems obvious enough to me that the kind of foreign porn one is most likely to hear about is that which differs the most from the mainstream porn of your own country.
I can’t imagine there’d be much American interest in foreign porn that simply showed women who have large breasts having sex with men who have large penises. The market is full of domestic porn flicks that fit that description, so who would bother to import something that differed only in that the woman was saying “Do me” in another language? Foreign porn flicks that differ from the American norm in some way would have a better chance of finding a niche in the American market. It may also be that some foreign porn industries don’t even want to try to compete with American imports when it comes to mainstream stuff, and focus on fringe markets instead.
