Milwaukee Thugs Target Concealed Carrier, Earn Bullets
Two on one and one prevails. One young criminal doesn’t get to be an old criminal and one who’s gotten a very clear demonstration of where his life choices can take him.

Potential “My Baby d’int do nuffin” defense in court case ? and BTW now is a great time to build a middle tier AR 15 Rifle or $500.00 (with Mags & Sling)
Armed robbers enter gun store. Can you predict what happens next?

Even after stopping, the good samaritan asked the police officer if he wanted help. Um, yes, he’s slamming my head into the ground, can you help?

Good shooting by the 13 year old. Hopefully it doesn’t impact him negatively mentally too much.
I’m not convinced of the wisdom of shooting at someone running or driving away. If you miss, those bullets still go somewhere. Sometimes they go into other people.
It is illegal in Arkansas.
Shooting of innocent 11 year old girl brings good news to family! Because she was caught in gang crossfire, she was able to donate a kidney to her cousin.
This feels like subtle ways to derail the thread or go against it to me. Let’s avoid the double, backhanded links like from here on, please.
Yes, that was tacky.
In other news, NH eliminates license requirement to carry concealed gun, effective immediately:
This makes 12 states where residents no longer need a permit for concealed carry. I think there may be two more that adopt constitutional carry in 2017. :fingers crossed:
Shouldn’t make any difference for the overwhelming vast majority of law abiding gun owners, as
There are those who have their fingers crossed for other reasons.
An Ohio law went into effect yesterday that prohibits employers and property owners having and enforcing policies that prohibit concealed carry holders from having guns in their cars. As an Ohio concealed carry permit holder who commutes 60 miles one way to my office, I am happy to know that I can’t be legally fired for having a pistol locked in my trunk. Here’s a story about it.
Interesting. I realize there is debate and disagreement about this kind of law, as it seems to pit a constitutional right against property rights. I understand the property rights argument - that a property owner gets to make rules regarding his own property. But when those rules come packaged in the entire employer/employment power inequity structure, it’s far too easy for an employer to just make a blanket policy that can create a huge inconvenience and safety issue for some employees.
On balance, I am in favor of the law. Sure, employers can have a policy to not allow firearms inside plants and offices, but it doesn’t strike me as troublesome that they can’t extend the ban to employees’ personal vehicles.
At least they put this part into it, “The new law also grants civil immunity to employers for injuries and deaths that result from guns brought on company property.”
The law itself recognizes that this is likely to have the effect of increasing injuries or death on company property, but at least I don’t need to worry about being sued when it happens.
In other news, Governor Burgum signs “constitutional carry” bill into law:
North Dakota becomes the 13th state to pass constitutional carry. Now over the 25% of states mark, and a little north of 70% of the US population in areas of either shall issue or constitutional carry.
Arkansas just expanded concealed carry to college campuses and other areas. Sports Arenas are not allowed.
I have to renew my CC in May. I’m not sure how the extra training will effect me. I had the regular CC class a three years ago.
It may be awhile before authorities decide whether to charge the homeowner’s son. Three deaths is a bit extreme. Especially since they weren’t armed with guns.
There had been other burglaries in the neighborhood in the past few months. These three were probably responsible. I suspect there won’t be any more break ins for awhile.
There were three of them and they were armed. That they were not armed with guns isn’t important.
Agree. They were wearing masks and gloves, and had (at least) a knife and brass knuckles. And there were three of them. Add all of that up and it doesn’t strike me as unreasonable that a person would be in fear of his life and safety. We don’t know what words were exchanged, which may be important. But I don’t read this and immediately think the shooting was unjustified.
I agree the homeowner did what was necessary to defend himself.
Hopefully the prosecutor will focus on going after the lady who planned the robbery and turned herself in.
