Never cared for it. Every episode is just a 22-minute petty argument. And the “B” plot is just their friends/neighbors having an even pettier argument, somehow. And then after resolving absolutely nothing, everyone inexplicably ends the episode friends and lovers again.
I didn’t know who she was, so I google her.
First: Wow! Dayum!!
Second: She’s Helen Hunt 2.0. It’s astonishing. I second the motion.
Well, the premise is newlyweds fumbling thru those initial first years when they’re encountering those burrs and spurs that keep two parts from meshing together well until they’ve been sanded down or ground off. I thought it did that pretty well, often in small scenes like Jamie walking into the living room, telling Paul “Watch this,” quickly and deliberately changing an empty toilet paper roll for a full one, then walking out without another word. The question is “what now?” Especially since I missed the last few seasons because, like most shows, it reached a point where the characters should be beyond a lot of the shenanigans depicted (much like Friends and Frasier).
Like there’s anything wrong with Lucy. If you don’t like a true classic like that, the problem lies with you, not the show! 
But these are very different shows. It’s like if Friends did an Office-style talk to the camera episode. And there was a 40 year difference between them.
The turkey episode was completely out of character for the series.
And dumb.
Strongly disagree. There were elements of slapstick and farce in many episodes of MAY. Certainly the turkey episode carried it to an extreme, but there are many other episodes with similar themes.
But funny. And that trumps dumb.
