I know I don’t count officially, but just as vox populi.
Why not just do a pseudo-sig for the pit posts?
It would be highly annoying, and I’ve already once been asked to change my sig due to offensive material. I’ve actually changed my sig four times this month (once at the behest of a moderator). I like the line in question this time, I just don’t want to piss off mods any more than I already have . . .
Sue Jo, thanks for your opinion. The person whence I got the quote has no problem with me using it. But another good friend of mine on the SDMB (and very much respected poster and person) doesn’t like it.
The fact that you feel like asking says a lot: you don’t feel really comfortable witrh it yourself, right?
I wouldn’t be offended, but I’d say it’s not really suitable. Again, an opinion, by no means an official verdict.
I think everyone should be required to have their sig line say “SPOOFE Bo Diddly is the sexiest hunk o’ man alive…”
Anyway, I could certainly see how it can be inappropriate. Perhaps you can say “F***ed” instead, or something else along those lines?
I feel fine with it, but I don’t want to get in trouble with the mods for having it . . . I have no problem changing it to screwed or something similar . . . I’d also rather not be taken to the pit over it.
