Nope. I have never been to Gatorland. Don’t get me started on that.
Sounds dumb but somehow I bet #3 is the lie and there’s a funny story in there somewhere. Otherwise it’s #1.
#1
PS who the hell is Ken Jennings?
Man that’s easy #2.
Don’t lie to save face now
OK might as well jump in with my “claims to fame”
1 - I had a full-page photo and was the opening “featured” person in a major financial magazine (Kiplingers) a few years back, despite having no financial expertise or any career experience in that area.
2 - I know Michael Keaton personally - we met before he was big, both from Pittsburgh area. Not super close friends, but enough that I can say hi just about any time I want and occasionally get together when his schedule allows (granted not often and I’m the one traveling). Very nice guy and very intelligent, but kinda “hyper” ie very driven. I guess you have to be in that biz.
3 - I not only saw the Tonight Show in person (Jay Leno years) but we talked backstage, and - WITHOUT permission - I sat in the Tonight Show chair behind the desk beforehand.
Correct. My original statement:
is untrue because the conversation was with Dennis Weaver. He was a nice guy.
I’m still trying to figure out if your statement about Ken Jennings is a whoosh, especially since you had no problem recognizing the guy from Kid n’ Play (Christopher Reid).
But just in case…
I had/have no clue about Kid n etc, it just sounded too specific to be false vs the other choices.
d’oh on Ken Jennings.
- Lived next door Joe Bouchard of the rock band Blue Oyster Cult.
- Graduated high school at 16.
- I walked from New York to Stamford, Ct.
It’s not that far from NY to Stamford, especially if starting from Port Chester. Joe Bouchard is too specific and obscure to use as a false clue. Ergo, you did not graduate high school at 16.
I, on the other hand, think “Joe Bouchard” is overly specific and intentionally obscure. It is therefore the falsehood. Let us see who is right.
- I weigh 125 lbs.
- My first word was “shit”.
- I am the middle-born child (out of three).
Both are wrong. The walking from NY to Stamford is false. I did not walk from New York City to Stamford, I took the train!
#1 is really true - I’d learnt some notes on the euphonium with the aid of an instruction manual 20+ years before, transferred that knowledge to E flat horn which I played for a few months, then played no brass at all for two decades before the village band was formed. Someone lent me a trumpet so I practised for a couple of weeks without actually knowing which hand to hold it with (hey, I was a converted cellist and you finger that with your left hand) and, as it turned out, I played well enough at the rehearsal to decide to get an instrument of my own and some lessons.
#2 was the lie - I have sung as soloist in all four voices, but not on the same programme (though I have sung as counter-tenor in one half and bass in the other).
#3 was quite true though it did not include pedalling - our instrument at the time was a very old Gulbransen Theatrum with one octave of out-of-tune pedals. I’m very slowly learning to use the pedals we have on the new one, a Viscount Vivace.
#3 is so unremarkable I am going to say that is the falsehood.

Dammit! I am not very good at this. Either way. (Meaning you are correct)
But I’m going to say number three is a lie. Rand Paul?! Nah.
I needed a ride home one weekend and our Mothers knew each other through a mutual friend so he gave me a lift home. I met his dad shortly after he was first elected to Congress and he came to speak at our high school. A good number of the kids in my class were actually delivered by his dad.
Feel free to try again.
I’d guess but I don’t know who any of those people are. sigh
I hope Crystal Bernard is true. She was hot, in the day. May still be, indeed.
Jeff Dunham
Crystal Bernard
Rand Paul (Surely you’ve heard of his father.)
No.
This game is pissing me off.
Thx. Now I know who the lady is. The other 2 are “whatever.” So I guess #2 is false.
Hah! I don’t know if I understand the logic but you are correct. She was in a class with me but dropped out of school when she got the part on Happy Days. We were never in a car together.
