Post 9/11 T-shirt ideas?

Okay, so I’m toying with some ideas for “humorous” T-shirt designs/slogans in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. I say “humorous” because, while I think they’re a laugh riot, I’m not sure how other folks would take them. So can y’all rate the following for (a) funniness and (b) tackiness?

  1. (big bold letters) “I AM NOT A TERRORIST”
  • Helps you get through airport security that much faster, and reassures your fellow passengers that you’re not going to do anything dangerous.
  1. (big letters) “I (heart) USA”
(underneath, small) “But George W. Bush is still a twit”
  • For the folks who want to show patriotic support for their country, but fear that would be misinterpreted as admiration for the Shrub.
  1. “got citpro?”
  • 'Nuff said
  1. “Certified 100% Anthrax-Free”
  • More 'nuff said

Feedback, folks?

Feedback:

#1 is funny only if you look “Arabic”, and then if you think about it for a minute, it isn’t really that funny.

#2 is too subtle for 99% of the people who will see you wearing it at Kroger. They won’t get it. Only folks at the SDMB really care that deeply about whether other people like or dislike George W. Bush. The rest of the Real World is too busy trying to get along to care. And you may find that a surprisingly large number of the people you run into at Kroger don’t actually think Dubya is a twit.

#3, first, it’s “Cipro”, not “Citpro”. But you knew that–damn keyboard, right? But anyway, the whole Cipro thing’s 15 minutes is about up–now we’ve all moved on to worrying about Osama having baby nukes in a shoebox under his bed.

#4, ditto. And besides, what would you do with the shirt if you did come down with anthrax?

I saw a t-shirt at t-shirthell.com or some other such site that made me almost fall out of my chair laughing.
In big bold letters on a black t-shirt, it said I fucked Osama’s mama.
I ordered fourteen of them.

::I had to check out that website…OMG! I am ROFLMAO!!! I ordered my Tommy the one that says “if you’re this close why don’t you suck my dick”, and I got my sister the Pizza Slut shirt (its an inside joke with us). I love that site. I’ll be back to order more stuff there

I dunno, I think it’d be amusing to see someone who’s “obviously” not a terrorist wearing something like that. But as noted, my sense of humor can be rather quirky.

I hang out with too many politically-minded folks, probably.

That’s what I was afraid of.

Chalk it up to irony?

Well, I’ve got one that’s not real humorous, but I like it. On the front, over the heart, is a flag with “United We Stand” underneath, which is a little too patriotic for me, but it’s the back that I like. It says “September 11, 2001 We will never forget” and the 11 is the Twin Towers in red white and blue, complete with the antenna on top of thte left one. In fact, I’m wearing it right now to honor Veteran’s Day.

oops- just checked in the mirror, and it only has September 11 2001 on the back.

The best (semi-humorous) t-shirt on the subject I saw was an all black t-shirt with rm -rf /bin/laden on the front in a white courier font. Have a Unix geek explain it to you if you don’t get it.
