I’ve been lurking here since the year 2000. I had actually decided to finally pay for a membership a few weeks ago, but lucky me, the boards were going to become free again. How long had it been since the board went to paid memberships? It appears to have been a longer time then I remember…

Also, just to add, I am a 21 year old college student. 5’2" 110 lbs. My friends say I look like Jessica Biel, only shorter, and I’m recently single.
My hobbies include hunting for cow patties and fantasy football.

This is so strange - I see all the paid up members remarking on the people returning that they haven’t seen for so long, and then I realise I’m reading the thread thinking the same thing! Some of your names are so familiar to me.
I never posted much even when I could… although I do still have a lot of dopers on my Wii friend list.

Good lord, I was still a student when I last posted here. Seems so long ago, but it was quite recent compared to some of the other people posting in this thread.

I started reading the site soon after it moved from AOL. Joined up…posted as “frinkboy” for a good portion of my time here…then the site went pay just as I was moving to an area with no internet access (Yellowstone). Just moved back to the real world a few months ago…and lo-and-behold…back to free posting…

As for poppies, unless the ones here bear an uncanny resemblance to dusty rocks, I haven’t seen anything close to one, and won’t, either, given that I’ll be leaving sometime in January.

Long time reader, back again!
Been a lurker for many a year, dropping an occasional (and usually unnecesary) post. What ever I think of writing, someone else usually comes in and does a better job of it. Glad to see the board is free again.
Just can’t justify the fee, so just been chillin’ laughing and then getting mad when I really have something to say and can’t…
Paid the membership fee once, but started lurking shortly after that for various board-related & real-life reasons.
Might as well start posting again. After all, it’s FREE.
