I first heard about Lost far too late to catch up. So I resigned myself to eventually watching the DVD releases, and carefully avoiding the discussion threads in CS.
Well this weekend I bought Season One. Mrs. Call and I are up to ep. 8 and we’re hooked!
So I searched CS to read all the discussion threads. First of all: Thanks to Monstre for this compilation I discovered only half way through trying to piece together the list myself. This pit is not for you.
Also: thanks to all posters in these threads for long after-the-fact living with my excitement and speculation. What a thrill to ride this wave together, even though most of you are preparing for Season Three while for me Season Two is a distant horizon. This pit is not for you.
This pit is for those who went back to those original discussion threads when the episode was re-run and posted with foreknowledge of all of the episodes I’ve yet to see. So there I am, reading along with the discussion on episode 3, wondering what it is that Kate did, hoping I’d’ve calculated my longitude too when WHAM…Walt has powers…???
From now on I’ve GOT to pay attention to the post date if I’m going to read the rest of the episode threads… IF… damn you post-re-rum posters!
Console yourself with the knowledge that there are about eleventy-jillion spoilers for this show, seriously. You got tagged with one, but there are so many more that it won’t impact your viewing all that much. Also, this fact would become pretty clear to you the first time they show Walt in any amount of detail whatsoever.
Hooked? You call that hooked? If you’ve had the set for 2 days and aren’t completely finishsed viewing, you ain’t hooked. I’ll tell you what hooked is… you’re on episode 20 before one of you asks the other-- have you seen the kids in the last 2 days? or… Was I supposed to go to work today? Nah… you’re not hooked.
Is the spoiler for somethign past the end of season 1? because I’d love to talk about the show, but since we only watch shows on DVD (we don’t have cable, and living in a valley means our television picks up zero channels), I’m only through the end of season one.
I look at thread titles for the latest episode of Deadwood, Lost, Sopranos, and I sigh sadly. They are not for me.
