Is it possible to post videos from youtube and/or any other site? Don’t see the tags on the editor, but figured I would ask.
No, it isn’t possible. All you can post is a link.
You can’t post pictures either, except as links. Or gifs. Or very many emoji.
We like it that way.
It is possible to post them, just not on this board.
And reported for forum change.
You can post as many emoji as you want. They’re just text. We have a restricted range of smilies, which are not the same thing.
Uh, “reported for forum change”?
Any particular reason why?
yeah, i see.
have fun reporting
was going to make a documentary thread. that’s why i ask.
hope no one’s feelings were damaged
thank you
Because you asked a question pertaining to this message board. We have a forum where those questions go called, appropriately enough, “About This Message Board.” As you hang around more, you’ll learn the proper forum to post a thread. The main page also has descriptions of the different forums to guide you.
yes, i see.
Your username is fucking awesome.
Thank you, friend. Definitely a mutual observation, right there. :)
Yeah, so I was looking to make a thread to show documentaries that I’d personally seen and could vouch for. Some of them I’d follow with articles and other information if they attracted interest.
Interesting world, out there, and thought (judging by the name of the site), this might be the place to do it.
If anyone knows of a forum that might work for that - and really, it can be a forum on any subject, as many of them have sub-boards - please hit me with a PM. I’m looking for a place to hang out. Thank you.
Cafe Society would be the place you’re looking for.
Are they 9/11 truther videos? We can’t get enough of those.
sounds like you need to have a blog - this is not that place.
To clarify, if you want to start discussions about these documentaries and hear others’ opinions of them (i.e., a two-way conversation), then this board is great and Cafe Society is the right forum.
If you simply want to tell people about documentaries you liked and provide information about them, then you want a blog.
And if this is the case, might as well just put them in Pit. They’ll end up there soon enough anyway.
I would welcome any interested person to post on the thread. Of course. I would only ask that people do not post stuff that they haven’t seen themselves, so they can offer a paragraph or so of description (no meaningless turbo-posting, in other words).
And no, 911 videos were not on my mind, in fact. If I’m going to say something on that subject, I’ll use my own words - and I wouldn’t expect that topic to arise in the thread, necessarily. I wouldn’t be the one to bring it, certainly. Every 911 documentary I’m aware of is about 10x too long and a mind-drain.
I’m thinking Dash needs to lurk a little while. But welcome anyway.
