Post your gender here!

Since my name really doesn’t tell anybody, I happen to be minus the y-chromosome, so, presumably, I would be female. :smiley:

That tends to vice in man,
but I affirm
It is the woman’s part:
be it lying, note it,
The woman’s; flattering, hers;
deceiving, hers;
Lust and rank thoughts, hers, hers;
revenges, hers;
Ambitions, covetings, change of prides, disdain,
Nice longing, slanders, mutability,
All faults that may be named,
nay, that hell knows,
Why, hers, in part or all; but rather, all;
For even to vice
They are not constant but are changing still”
–Cymbeline, Act 2, Scene v :smiley:

Good God! The felching quote is back. :rolleyes:

Here are two suggestions (but the possibilities are endless):

“Do you not know I am a woman?
when I think, I must speak”
–As You Like It, Act 3, Scene ii

“I grant I am a woman; but withal
A woman well-reputed, [DAVEW0071]'s daughter.
Think you I am no stronger than my sex,
Being so father’d”
–Julius Caesar, Act 2, Scene i

“For there’s no motion
That tends to vice in man,
but I affirm
It is the woman’s part:
be it lying, note it,
The woman’s; flattering, hers;
deceiving, hers;
Lust and rank thoughts, hers, hers;

O dear discretion, how his words are suited!
The fool hath planted in his memory
An army of good words; and I do know
A many fools, that stand in better place,
Garnish’d like him, that for a tricksy word
Defy the matter.

“Thou wilt be like a lover presently
And tire the hearer with a book of words.”
–Much Ado About Nothing, Act 1, Scene i

Well, your name DOES tell SOME people, tells them wrong in fact. Maybe you should change it to electra543?

I don’t fit the “electra” part too well, so I don’t think I will be changing my name any time soon. And I guess I should have worded my post a little differently to say “I know what you’re thinking and what it looks like, but I am a female”. Maybe that would have sounded a little better. :slight_smile:

Well, you can make up for it. Invite your mother online, but require her to call herself clytemnestra543.

Male, if anyone still cares…

** “I am all the daughters of my father’s house…”
Twelfth Night or What You Will Act II, Scene II.

“But though I am a daughter to his blood,
I am to his manners.”
The Merchant of Venice" Act II, Scene IV.**

(Read the two quotes as one & it sounds pretty good.)

Mis-type. It should read:

** “But though I am a daughter to his blood,
I am** not ** to his manners.”
The Merchant of Venice Act II, Scene IV.**

Physically? 100% male
Psychologically? about 75% male

With this abundance of superfluous breath?”

when I first got here, I never “posted” my gender, but never made it a secret, either. Then, I got a really negative response from another poster (“You want a piece of me, tell me where you live and I’ll show you what I’ve got” - not wanting to revive THAT thread, thank you, but that was the specific, minus the profanity), and since that poster started referring to me as “Mr wring”, I thought, it might be in my best interest to let the error alone. But, then I also realized that, as anonymous as these things are, there is also an element of trust, and frankly, it’s difficult to relate information without including gender specifics. So: for the record, I’m female, 45, and very unlikely to get into a physical fight with anyone, thank you.

Holy crap! I AM female! How am I gonna break this to my girlfriend???

…wearing a dayglo-painted fish barrette, a bra that’s uncomfortable, and a skirt.

Or I’m just FABULOUS! :wink:
