I posted a new thread in general guestions, then thought it would be better in “My humble Opinion”. Since I couldn’t see how to move it, I copied the text and posted it again there. When I came back to “general questions”, my first posting was gone.
How zat work? There were some text difference between the two (an apology for the second posting), so the system isn’t simply screening out dupes…
And, can I “move” a new thread to another category?
JillGat the GQ moderator decided that it would fit better in IMHO and moved your GQ thread for you.
As you realize, it’s frowned on to open similar threads in two different forums. If you change your mind about where one should go, e-mail a moderator. If they have time, they may move it, or else they may lock the original so you can open a new thread in the right forum.
PS. No, mere members can’t move, edit, or delete threads. Only moderators (and adminstrators) can do that.
