Well, may not “promote” it, but he damned sure didn’t do anything to keep millions of kids from be at risk of lead poisoning…
From the National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC)
They’re all worried about those poor rich people loosing a few billion and could give two shits about the safety of kids. Don’t they realize that lead is poison? :smack:
You’re an idiot. Did you do any research at all, or did you just troll the internet to desperately find something to be pissed off at Obama about. Children’s motor vehicles contain lead, just like every other motor vehicle, in the battery. Your kid’s school bus contains lead, your car contains lead. As long as your kid doesn’t lick the fucking battery, he’ll be just fine. If your kid does start licking the battery terminals, the electric shock he’ll take through his tongue will hurt him a lot more than the lead will. Dipshit.
Edit: Overly ninja’d. This post was in response to the OP.
The NOHVCC sent me the notice so no, I didn’t go looking for it.
And to be honest, I sure as fuck wouldn’t have to “troll the internet to desperately find something to be pissed off at Obama about”. You almost can’t swing a dead cat without hitting something Obama has fucked up.
]Well if you’re stupid and prone to hysteria you can be angry at anything.
Have you been right since you made that account? Every single claim you’ve made has been wrong? Doesn’t that suggest to you, that you’re horribly misinformed about a lot of stuff?
So why are you posting about it here? Are you expecting some sort of massive wave of anti-Obama feeling to be unleashed by your poorly-researched, bullshit posts?
I fully support this. The problem here isn’t this reasonable move, but the fact that the “lead law” in question was written far too broadly.
Of course, this mess of a bill flew through with bipartisan support, as nobody wanted to be branded by a future political opponent as being Pro-Lead Toy. That didn’t mean that the law was at all thoughtfully written.
President Obama himself probably would have voted for it as well had he not been on the campaign trail. He didn’t, though, and that’s a mark in his favor. President Bush signed the thing - that’s a mark against.
All of this could have been accomplished by reasonably enforcing existing regulations - but there were no headlines in that.
He’s already got something to be pissed off at Obama about – being a Democrat in the White House. He’s just trolling the internet for something that will get us pissed off at Obama.
:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolle–OW, MY EYEBALL-ROLLING MUSCLES!!! DAMMIT, Rekd, see what you made me do?
I bet he doesn’t even care about lead that much, but is simply concern trolling. “Ohhh, i just LOVE the environment I really really do, trust me on this! Here is a cite that says Obama is bad for the environment! And I’m a real environmentalist so you know I’m only posting this because of what I feel about lead!”
