I’ve seen some pretty nasty comments about Obama of course, but this one really got me shaking my head in bafflement. It’s like the all-consuming hatred of the man has caused brain damage or something in some people.
There was an article about a 9-year old girl who had a meltdown on the school bus and became so violent they had to call the cops and have her restrained and arrested. She was throwing chunks of concrete at the bus windows and also at deputies.
The very first comment on the news story was some idiot who said “And she’ll grow up to be a Obama voter!”.
Excuse me, but WTF? If you don’t like our current president, fine, work towards getting someone else elected, but this? It doesn’t even make sense? Did Obama ever throw concrete chunks at people? Disrupt school buses?
It’s not based on anything Obama did. He’s saying she’ll vote for Obama because she’s a violent criminal or something. And I guess the author also thinks that 10-year-olds will be able to vote in the presidential election next year.
The problem is on both sides of the aisle, blind loyalty to a person or to a political party is obnoxious and shows weakness in the people doing so. You can see it on these very boards, Obama can do no wrong, or Obama can do no right.
The media has done a good job in creating and keeping this divide going. People get herded together into an us vs them as a people rather than a us vs them against the establishment so many are actually angry about. A great deflection system, this two party method.
I agree more people here are not one tracked compared to elsewhere. The problem still remains, we should NOT have to choose between the lesser of two evils when voting.
I will claim and insist he will defend Obama, or the Democrats, above and beyond any praise he will lay on Republicans. And the same can be said for others who will praise Republicans while only if ever, grudgingly appreciating something Democrats have done. And singling him out was actually not intentional it was however the first thing I came across after the post I responded too. And it fits rather well.
I believe Marley said it best, and I will not debate further on this topic since I do believe that people are blinded by some supposed loyalty to a party.
What a stupid request. People who think Obama can do no wrong don’t say “Obama can do no wrong.” They simply defend everything that he does no matter what.
