Due to one of my hobbies, I found myself reading a related message board. The posters there tend to be… Let’s just say ‘extreme Right Wing’. Here are a few things I’ve read:

It could certainly be said that this election was stolen, and while it may seem silly on the surface, considering ACORN’s actions, it may very likely be the truth. Or, the messiah may have really won without the help of illegal voters.

Where are the Republicans screaming that the messiah is the illegitimate POTUS?

Where are the Republicans suggesting that the messiah “isn’t my POTUS?”

Americans should be ashamed of themselves for electing a black moslem over a white patriot !

We will pay for this dearly !

If the end of democracy comes to this nation, it will not be heralded by the sound of gunfire or the blinding flash of a nuclear holocaust. It will be defeated by the manipulation of the voting process; by the registration of voters who only see the surface and wish to vote to themselves the wealth of this nation. Never have so many people fallen in love with a candidate about whom they knew so little since the German people elected Adolph Hitler. Remember, Obama says nothing better than anyone. God help us.

There was another post last night, after the election was called, that is gone this morning. It was really vile.

This isn’t really a Pitting. It’s just an observation that there are some seriously scary people in this country. But I reckoned it would wind up here anyway.

I remember the good old days when the world loved us and we weren’t arrogant. That is when Ted Koppel and Nightline premiered. Of course the only reason that show existed was because our great love for the world had created the Iranian Hostage Crisis. Yep, Jimmy Carter wanted the world to love us to and we ended up getting taken to the cleaners.

That reminds me of somebody who used to post here. I don’t remember his name (though I’m sure somebody else will), but everything (everything) could be blamed on Ted Koppel. Anybody remember him? I hope it’s the same guy. I’d hate to think that two separate people have such a hard-on for Mr. Koppel.

God, this is the one that always makes me stabby: “We just don’t know anything about Barack Obama.”

Yeah, I mean, all we really have to go by are his TV commercials, a dozen or so debates, hundreds of speeches, hundreds of interviews, thousands of articles, a state Senate voting record, two books, a painfully comprehensive web site, a 30-minute primetime special, and the two-week “Who is Barack Obama?” camp we were all sent to over the summer.
