What a weak excuse. Show me posters that only praise Obama and condemn Republicans-posters who, through their posts, give the idea that Obama can do no wrong.
You’ve got nothing. I understand.
As opposed to what? Finding both parties to be exactly as praiseworthy as the other? I mean, people usually vote for one party or the other, presumably because they find one to be at least marginally better then the other, and presumably if they agree with that party more of the time, they’ll defend that party more and attack the other party more. That hardly means they think that their prefered party “can do no wrong” or are blind to its faults.
I don’t really see how it fits. Its just Gonzomax defending Obama regarding a particular scandal. Gonzomax spends plenty of time on these boards attacking Obama for various things. Just finding one item he’s defending him on hardly means Gonzomax acts as if “Obama can do no wrong”.
As the above poster said, you seem to have moved the goal post from “people say Obama can do no wrong” to “sometimes people defend Obama and I disagree with them”.
You seem to have me confused with RyJae. While we are both incredibly good looking, I can assure you we are not the same person and don’t share a point of view. Just because his claim is silly doesn’t mean your counter was any less so.
I will definitely need a cite for that claim. Having seen your picture but not RyJae’s, I can only accept half of your “incredibly good looking” statement as being true.
Hey now! No flirting in Great Debates!
I do not get top dollar on the pole but I go away with some tips.
My post is my cite! and totally joking
He turned me into a newt.
Pics, or it never happened.
Shayna.
Obama has done plenty wrong., but I stil prefer him over any of the Republican candidates.
Signed, Yellow Dog Democrat.
So there.
I’m not sure there’s really a debate here. I’m moving this to IMHO.
Also Stoid, who seems to love the President too much to criticize him.
As long as that species is Homo americanus I might agree with you.
It’s not. Sorry, but people have been creating divisions among themselves and fighting about them for as long as they’ve existed. It’s frequently stupid and self destructive and aggravating, but it’s not restricted to any country and it doesn’t reflect manipulations by the media on behalf of a shadowy power structure. Fighting about us vs. them is one of those things human beings do. Politics reflects that.
No, the idea that there are only two political sides, one being always right and the other always being wrong, only seems to exist these days here in the US. And it seems to be getting worse by the day. Yes, of course when I lived in Canada and the UK there were people who always defended their party no matter what. But it certainly didn’t seem to be about 90% of the population like it is here. From what I understand, most European democracies are even less polarized. There is a mood of “no compromise, no surrender” in this country that I find extremely disturbing.
This is a perfectly reasonable position, and summarizes in general how I feel about the majority of Republican candidates (plus the occasional Democrat) that I support.
Wow, your chickens give milk?
Actually, that was me. I had Taco Bell. My bad.
Have there been any posts about a misbehaving 10-year-old growing up to be a (insert Republican candidate’s name here) voter?
