A little to mundane for GQ…
Looking for suggestions on grooming our cows faster. They are used to electric devices against their skin (electric shavers) so I was thinking of using a variable speed drill with an attachment that could groom them comfortably yet faster. Obviously wire brushes are out, buffing attachments wouldn’t have enough bristle to take off the heavy wet stuff. I searched for “power groomers” and “electric groomers” and came up with just a couple hits neither of which were helpful. Do any of you cleaning buffs have any suggestions (remember must be handheld and not to pricey) ? Maybe a nylon brush attachment for drills, is there such a beast ? Many thanks funnee…
I don’t think I can help you, but I’m enjoying the mental image…
Seriously, if you can’t find what you need you might consider inventing it yourself. I have a friend who invented his own “gate” for holding sheep still while they are attached to milking machines (he makes sheep cheese). He ended up selling a lot of them.
This is gonna sound stoopid, but what about
one of those revolving brush Dirt Devils?
If they have a wet/dry model, that might work.
What you really want is a power brush attachment for a ShopVac…
Try this :Rotating Brushes. They fit on the end of a drill and come in different materials.

Democritus, I’m not even going ask how come you know all about rotating brushes… but like Cher, I’m really enjoying the mental images!

Well that looks darn close to perfect Democritus. I’ll have to pick some up and try 'em out. Many thanks.
But I know you really want to know Tyler!!
Actually, those are used for polishing snowboards, that’s how I know about them. Hope they work Funnee, I know they may be kinda short for your application.

People groom cows? Wow, those long winter nights must just fly by.
Was able to find 2 dealers within an hour of me. Should be able to at least call them today to see what they have in stock and the price. Might not get around to actually picking them up until next week but they definitely look promising.
As for those long winter nights, oh yeah this job is so exciting that I should be taking sedatives to calm down in the evening.
