PowerPoint Doesn't Like Hyphens?

I was making some organizational charts in PowerPoint. Some text uses hyphens, but when I print I find that PowerPoint is throwing the hyphen into the middle of a letter, and such. For example, instead of preceeding an “S”, it is crossing the “S”!!!

Has anyone experienced this with PowerPoint? Or, could it be the printer having trouble with the font? (I’ll have to test this theory by trying other fonts, for starters.)

I’ve never had that happen with PPT. My guess is that’s there’s a conflict with the fonts somehow.

Not sure though.

Definitely not specifically a PowerPoint issue. Or if it is, it’s a unique glitch; I’ve never heard of it. I get those kinds of odd font issues when there are printer driver problems, or with Adobe Acrobat.

Does it do this across fonts, or only in one font? Does it do this hyphens, en dashes, and em dashes?

I had that problem long ago, using a specific font - Univers I believe it was - and it went away when I changed to Arial which looks the same.
